Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

Amazons are wild hunters who turn their deadly arts to the defence of others. Armed with uncanny instincts and unerring precision, they stand sentinel over their allies in battle and protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Interception

When you choose this path at 3rd level, your protective instincts sharpen.  If a creature you can see within range attacks an ally, you can use your reaction to attack that creature – this occurs after the attack is rolled, but before any damage has been rolled.  Should your attack hit, the creature suffers the normal damage of your attack, however their attack now misses.  If your attack beats the creature’s AC by more than 4, then the creature’s next attack is made with disadvantage.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses of it when you finish a short or long rest.

Amazonian Wrath

Starting at 3rd level, you can focus your ire on one foe, increasing the harm you inflict on it. As a bonus action, you designate one creature you can see within 60 feet of you as the target of this feature. The first time each turn that you hit that target with a weapon attack, it takes an extra 1d6 damage from the weapon.

This benefit lasts until you finish a short or long rest. It ends early if you designate a different creature.

Draw and Withdraw

Starting at 7th level, you strike quickly and escape when your enemies threaten you in close quarters.  When you make a melee attack with a weapon, you can forgo one of your attacks this turn to gain the benefit of the Disengage action.

Peerless Onslaught

By 7th level, your sharp eyesight allows you to aim carefully to bypass a target’s defences.  When you make a weapon attack with advantage and both rolls would hit, you can roll one additional damage die and add the result to the damage. You can use this feature once per turn.

Unrivalled Instinct

At 11th level, your keen instincts alert you to any possible danger ahead before anyone else may even suspect it.  You also cannot be surprised while you're conscious.  Additionally when you roll for initiative, you can treat any role of a 9 or lower as a 10.

Amazonian Defiance

At 15th level, you gain the ability to counterattack when your enemy tries to sabotage you. If the target of your Amazonian Wrath forces you to make a saving throw, you can use your reaction to make one weapon attack against the attacker. You make this attack immediately before making the saving throw. If your attack hits, your save automatically succeeds, in addition to the attack’s normal effects.
