Heretic Domain

Perhaps your god is long forgotten by the land, and the people believe you are proclaiming a false doctrine. Perhaps your god has become corrupted, and no longer conforms to the ideals of the past, leading to infighting within the sect. Or, perhaps, you have decided to become a god yourself - your own faith granting you divinity. Whatever your situation, your life is filled with misunderstanding, conflict, and trying to persuade others that you are actually in the right.

Charismatic Cultist

At 1st level, through the countless conflicts and troubles you have experienced, you have honed the ability to deal with people and their problems. You gain the Thaumaturgy cantrip, and you become proficient in the following skills: Deception and Persuasion. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those skills.

Heretic Domain Spells

You can access to certain spells when you reach certain cleric levels.

Channel Divinity: Display of Strength

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to prove the power of your god for all to see. As an action, you present your holy symbol, and all hostile creatures within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. A creature takes radiant damage equal to 2d10 + your cleric level on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one. In addition, creatures that fail the saving throw are frightened of you for one round.

Fanatical Belief

The strength of your faith has imbued your will with an innate resistance to forces that try to overthrow your will or faith. You have advantage on Wisdom saving throws.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Proof of Divinity

Starting at 17th level, you may cast any 8th level spell from your cleric known spell list without having it prepared or expending a spell slot. You can do this once per long rest.
