Path of the Grandparent

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Grandparent draw their strength from the wisdom, resilience, and enduring love that comes with age and experience. These warriors fight not only with brute force but with the fierce protection and nurturing spirit of a grandparent. They inspire and shield their allies, ensuring that their legacy and family traditions are carried on through the generations.

 

Wise Protector

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Insight and Medicine skills if you don't already have them. Your nurturing presence provides your allies with comfort and encouragement. When you use your Rage feature, you can choose a number of creatures equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of one) within 30 feet of you. These creatures gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level + your Wisdom modifier.

Storyteller's Resilience

Starting at 6th level, your tales of wisdom and bravery bolster the resolve of your companions. When you complete a short or long rest, you and up to ten friendly creatures who hear your stories gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened until the start of your next short or long rest.

 

Unyielding Guardian

At 10th level, your protective instincts enhance your combat abilities. When a creature within 5 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to reduce that damage by an amount equal to your Barbarian level. Additionally, when you use this feature, you can immediately enter a Rage if you are not already raging, without expending a use of your Rage feature.

 

Eternal Legacy

Upon reaching 14th level, your spirit embodies the timeless endurance and strength of a grandparent's love. When you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you and all friendly creatures within 30 feet of you gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level + your Wisdom modifier. Additionally, you and friendly creatures within 30 feet of you have advantage on death saving throws.
