Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Portal cutters are interested in the connection between space and reality. Some delving so deep they use what they learn to do in close distances to traverse planes. Not all those interested in the manipulation of the fabric think so large. Some focus on the close combat. Dipping in and out across caverns or dropping a foe becoming their focus.

Playing With Portals

You gain a number of portal charges equal to your Intelligence Modifier + 1 Per short Rest. You can expend a charge to create a portal 8" in diameter. The first side of the portal can be cut into the air within 5ft of you, the other side can appear at a point you can see within 30' of you.

Your Portal lasts until the end of your turn before closing, and pushing any objects half inside the portal bounds to the nearest side. When you attack through a portal you can apply sneak attack as normal. Attacking through a portal does not reveal you if you are already hiding.

You may also perform actions through the portals quickly, such as pickpocketing, grabbing or dropping objects, pulling levers and can even see, hear and smell through them.

Reacting With Portals

When you or a creature you can see within 30 feet of you is hit by an attack roll, you can use your reaction to Expend two uses of your portal charges to open a portal in front of the attack, and choose a different creature within your portal distance of you, including the attacker. The chosen creature becomes the target of the attack, using the same roll. This magic can transfer the attack’s effects regardless of the attack’s range. This can be done once per long or short rest.
