Base Class: Warlock
Your patron is a mysterious Archlich. You have entered into a contract in which your soul will be taken by the Archlich upon death. During the duration of your life, however, you have been granted the power to ensnare and control the body and soul of creatures killed within your presence. The Archlich has taught you the means, and provided the material, to capture and control creatures. You don’t know what becomes of the souls when they are released or defeated, but you sense that your patron’s power grows as you do.
Soul Capture
Starting at 1st level, your patron grants you the ability to capture and control the soul of a creature killed within your presence. As a reaction, you can use a Soul Stone to capture the soul of a creature killed within 30 ft. You must use the Soul Stone within 6 seconds of a creature dying or the soul will be lost.
You may use this feature once per long rest for each Soul Stone you have.
After capturing a creatures soul you must perform a bonding ritual. The ritual will take the creatures CR in days to bond to, with 1 hour per day required to perform the ritual. Anything below CR 1 will still take 1 day. Should a day be missed, the ritual must be restarted completely.
Soul Order
Your patron grants you the power to command creatures who’s souls you have captured. As an action you may call upon one of the souls within a stone and summon it within 30 ft. of you. This creature shares your initiative in battle and retains its original stat block. The creature has its own turn and does not require an action or bonus action to command on its turn. If this creature’s HP is reduced to zero, or the creature’s soul is dismissed as an action, the Soul Stone housing the soul becomes empty and the creatures soul is lost. You can recall the soul back to its Soul Stone as a free action.
If the creatures CR is above your class level, you must succeed a DC (CR-CL) + 10 WIS save. On a success the creature takes its turn as normal. On a fail the creature does not act during this turn.
Soul Summon
Starting at level 6, you may spend 1 hour performing a summoning ritual. At the end of this hour you may summon the body and soul of any creature you (or your allies) have defeated within the past week. This creature will be immediately hostile, and may be used for Soul Capture if defeated. You may perform this ritual once per week.
Soul Protection
Starting at level 10, creatures you summon are granted protection against physical and magical forces. The armor class of any creature you summon is increased by 1 and you may choose a damage type, at the time of summoning, for the creature to be resistant to until it is recalled or killed.
Soul Sacrifice
Starting at level 14, you may sacrifice the soul of a creature you have summoned. As an action, you can command the creature’s soul to leave its body and directly attack the soul of a creature within 30 ft. of your creature. This attack will do necrotic damage equal to your creatures remaining health. Any creature hit by Soul Sacrifice will be immune to Soul Capture at its time of death, and may not be resummoned by any means. It’s soul is directly sent to your patron. Your creature’s soul is also permanently lost following this.
