Base Class: Sorcerer
In the mysterious groves where the Feywild’s influence seeps into the mortal world, there grows a rare and potent fruit. This fruit, infused with the chaotic essence of the Fae, contains within it the power to twist and reshape reality itself. Those who consume the blood of this fruit are forever changed, becoming living conduits for the wild, paradoxical magic of the Fey.
Sorcerers who bear the Blood of the Fae Fruit are marked by this strange and otherworldly heritage. Their magic is a swirling maelstrom of contradictions, bending and breaking the rules of reality with each spell they cast. Time may stutter, space may warp, and probabilities may skew in their presence, reflecting the chaotic nature of the Feywild itself. These sorcerers embody the concept of the paradox, existing as living contradictions who can manipulate the fabric of reality in ways that defy comprehension.
At the core of their power is the essence of the Fae—a force of nature that is both enchanting and perilous. The Blood of the Fae Fruit sorcerers are masters of the unpredictable, wielding magic that can just as easily save them as it can create unforeseen consequences. Their connection to the Feywild makes them dangerous and alluring, as their spells weave illusions that blur the line between what is real and what is imagined.
As they grow in power, Blood of the Fae Fruit sorcerers learn to control the chaotic energies within them, mastering abilities that allow them to manipulate reality on a grand scale.
However, this power comes at a cost. The more a Blood of the Fae Fruit sorcerer taps into their fey-infused magic, the closer they come to losing their grip on reality. Their journey is one of constant adaptation, as they learn to embrace the chaos within them while avoiding being consumed by it. To walk the path of the Blood of the Fae Fruit is to dance on the edge of a cosmic blade, where every spell is a gamble and the stakes are nothing less than the fabric of reality itself.
Fairy Berry Surge
Starting at 1st level, your connection to the chaotic energies of the Feywild manifests in unpredictable ways. When you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose to tap into the wild magic of the Fey. Roll a d6 on the Feywild Surge Table to determine the effect:
Feywild Surge Table
- Bloom of Life: Flowers and vines rapidly grow in a 10-foot radius around you. The area becomes difficult terrain for creatures other than you, and you gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.
- Shimmering Illusions: You and up to three creatures of your choice within 30 feet become surrounded by illusory duplicates. Attackers have disadvantage on attacks against the affected creatures until the start of your next turn.
- Fey Step: You teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see, leaving behind a puff of glittering, harmless fey dust.
- Whispers of the Fey: A random creature within 30 feet of you hears disorienting whispers from the Feywild. They must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be charmed by you until the end of their next turn.
- Glimpse of the Otherworld: For a brief moment, the area around you is bathed in the twilight of the Feywild. All creatures within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be blinded until the start of your next turn.
- Wild Growth: A surge of fey energy causes a random effect from the Grog table to occur.
Grog Tasting
At 1st level, your exposure to the chaotic magic of the Feywild has imbued you with a refined palate for magical beverages. You gain proficiency with the brewer’s supplies. This proficiency allows you to create and identify various magical brews and potions, reflecting your deep connection to the wild and whimsical nature of the Fae.
Additionally, lesser and greater restoration are added to your sorcerer spell list. These spells are considered sorcerer spells for you and don’t count against the number of spells you can prepare.
Whim of the Fae
Starting at 1st level, the unpredictable nature of the Feywild flows through you, allowing you to bend fate to your will. When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can invoke the Whim of the Fae to gain advantage on the roll.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you willingly allow a Feywild Surge(as described in the other level 1 feature) to occur after casting a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher.
When you choose to trigger a Feywild Surge in this way, you regain the use of Whim of the Fae.
Grog Enthusiast
Starting at 6th level, your mastery over the chaotic energies of the Feywild allows you to manipulate the effects of your Feywild Surges with greater precision. When a Feywild Surge occurs, you can spend 2 sorcery points to redirect the surge's effect to another creature within 30 feet of you. The new target experiences the full effect of the surge as if they were the original target.
Additionally, if the Feywild Surge effect would normally affect an area, you can spend 3 sorcery points to alter the point of origin within 30 feet of you.
Grog Brewing Kit
Starting at 14th level, the chaotic energies of the Feywild have so deeply intertwined with your being that you can bend the threads of fate itself. Whenever you are required to roll on any table, such as the Feywild Surge table, Wild Magic Surge table, or any other table dictated by a spell, ability, or magical effect, you can roll twice and choose which result to apply.
If the table involves a single roll to determine the outcome (such as rolling a d100), you roll twice and pick the more favorable result. This feature also applies to tables where you choose an option based on the roll, allowing you to pick between the two outcomes.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Master of the Drink
At 18th level, your connection to the chaotic essence of the Feywild, embodied by the fairy berries and grog that transformed you, reaches its pinnacle. You have mastered the art of channeling and controlling this wild magic, allowing you to fully embrace its power with astonishing effects.
1. Grog Immunity:
You have gained the ability to counteract the unpredictable effects of magical beverages or substances similar to fey grog. Whenever you are subjected to a magical effect that involves rolling on a table or that could cause a chaotic or random outcome (such as the Feywild Surge table or Wild Magic Surge table), you can use your reaction to negate the effect. You can choose to cancel the effect entirely or roll on the table twice and choose the result you prefer. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
2. Feywild Manifestation:
As an action, you can spend 6 sorcery points to temporarily transform the area around you into a manifestation of the Feywild. For 1 minute, the following effects occur within a 30-foot radius centered on you:
- Reality Warp: You can alter the terrain, creating difficult terrain or even hazardous conditions such as sudden growths of thorns or pockets of magical energy that deal 2d6 force damage to creatures that end their turn within them.
- Enchanting Aura: All creatures within the area must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be charmed by you. Charmed creatures are under the effects of the charm person spell but with a radius of 30 feet.
- Wild Growth: At the start of each of your turns, roll a d6 to determine a random effect from the Feywild Surge table. This effect occurs in the area of manifestation each turn.
3. Fae’s Embrace:
Once per long rest, when you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can choose to instead drop to 1 hit point and immediately gain the benefits of the mislead spell without expending a spell slot or requiring concentration. This allows you to create an illusory double of yourself and turn invisible, giving you a chance to escape or reposition. Additionally, you can make a single attack or cast a spell as a reaction, showcasing your command over the chaotic forces.
