Base Class: Barbarian
You're weapon is your Paintbrush, the room is your canvas, and your enemies a crimson red paint.
ive mad this subclass to attempt to Fix some of the key issues of berserkers barbarian as many do, ive kept it simple without add brand new class features but instead attempted to improve the existing ones to still give the got of carving your enemy's to bits but now not being ****** after doing it once
main changes
-Frenzy now no longer gives (exhaustion unless you use the optional rule), instead has limited uses based on your prof bonus
-intimidating Presence is a bonus action, and targets people equal to 1+ your prof bonus, but it ends if you or an ally attacks them, along with having a limited amount of uses
-retaliation now dosnt require a bonus action only IF you are raging
smaller changed
-Frenzy now applies to improvised weapons
-Mindless rage Cancels the effect of charm or frightened rather than suspending it
-retaliation applies to throwing weapons and improvised weapons, and now is the range of your weapon rather than just 5 feet
Reasons for changes
-i wanted to make frenzy less of a cost, but to actually have a reason to consider using it or not, and i gave them improvised weapons cause...its funny
-i wanted intimidating presence to have more impact, at higher levels scaring off armys or just flexing your way into intimidation, but with the larger impact there needed to be a higher cost, this change is the change i want the Most feedback on
-Retaliation was so simple it felt like a feat honestly, sure its not bad but it needed a few more effects. letting it be used reactionless while raging but of course limiting once per turn was a fun idea, since it means that it gets stronger while you rage, and allows you to hit someone twice on THEIR turn if they play their cards wrong. as for the thrown and improvised weapons, the improvised weapons is again added because its funny but thrown is because i like the idea of a barb hucking their axe at a goblin just out of range that toss a spear at him, also so javelins/spears have another use in barbs kit.
Frenzy
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can go into a frenzy when you rage, allowing you to swing your weapon at feral speeds. When you rage you can enter Frenzy, for the duration of your rage, you can make a single melee weapon or improvised weapon attack as a bonus action on each of your turns. You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Mindless Rage
Beginning at 6th level, your rage begins to blind you to any emotions that may slow you down. you can't be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is canceled.
Intimidating Presence
Starting at 10th level, you can use your mere presence to send a shiver down those who oppose you. you can use your bonus action to frighten a number of creatures up to 1 + your proficiency bonus that you can see within 30 feet of you. Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be frightened until the end of your next turn. You can use your bonus action on subsequent turns to extend this effect on any frightened targets. The effect ends for a target if it ends its turn out of line of sight or more than 60 feet away, it also ends if you or an ally attacks the affected enemy. You can use this feature a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded up) per long rest.
Retaliation
Starting at 14th level, your anger allows you to quickly react to danger. When you take damage from a creature that is within your attack range, you can use your reaction to make a melee, thrown weapon, or improvised weapon attack against that creature. While raging, you can use Retaliation without spending your reaction; this is limited to once per turn.
