Base Class: Wizard

Eons ago, the world was shaped and governed by two mighty Primordials, whose very existence was bound to the essence of the planet. One was Somnoru, the Primordial of Dreams and Sleep, guardian of the dreamscape where reality and imagination melded. The other was Gaeltor, the Primordial of the Land, the embodiment of the planet’s strength, fertility, and raw natural power. Together, they watched over the world, ensuring harmony between the physical realm and the ethereal dream world.

However, this world was not alone—foreign entities from beyond the stars sought to invade, hungry for the planet’s magic and life force. Somnoru and Gaeltor, along with other Primordials, waged a cataclysmic war to defend their world from these foreign invaders. Despite their immense power, the two Primordials fell in battle, their life forces spent to hold back the alien threat.

Though Somnoru and Gaeltor perished, they refused to let their world be consumed. With their dying breaths, they intertwined their remaining essence—Somnoru’s dream-weaving power and Gaeltor’s connection to the land—into the fabric of the planet itself. Their sacrifices granted a final safeguard: a dream realm tied to the lands of the waking world. This hidden realm would serve as both a sanctuary and a source of power for future generations, allowing those worthy to tap into the Primordials’ lingering magic and prepare for the invaders’ return.

On the night of the Winter Solstice, when the boundaries between worlds weaken, a chosen few children who have reached their 11th name day are drawn into this mystical connection. In their dreams, they are transported to a mysterious tower standing at the border of dreams and reality. Here, they are offered the chance to study the arcane arts, drawing upon the magic of both Somnoru and Gaeltor. These children, known as the Somnark—“Vessels of Sleep”—are tasked with mastering both the dream realm and the magic tied to the land, preparing for the inevitable return of the alien entities.

The Somnarks believe that by mastering the power of dreams and the Weave, they can reshape the waking world. Wisdom, they believe, is the key to wielding this power properly, as only through understanding can they apply the magic to defend their world and prevent its doom.
