Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The Shadow Rogue is a master of stealth and subterfuge, harnessing the power of shadows to achieve their goals. From the beginning, you can blend into the darkness and deceive your enemies with shadowy illusions. As you advance, you gain the ability to teleport between shadows and create distractions to aid in your escape. By the time you reach the pinnacle of your training, you can manipulate shadows to form tangible objects, such as barriers, platforms, or shadowy weapons, enhancing your versatility and creativity in and out of combat. Whether you’re infiltrating a fortress or vanishing from pursuit, the Shadow Rogue excels in making the unseen a powerful weapon.

Hide in Shadows

This ability evolves with your mastery over the shadows:

  • Level 3: As long as you hide in lightly or heavily obscured area, or dim light and darkness, natural or magical and any other area that can be counted as shadows, you have an advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) Checks and other creatures relying on sight or on Darkvision have an disadvantage on Wisdom (Preception) Checks.
  • Level 9: You become even harder to see while hidden and now even beings with true sight have a disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to detect you.
  • Level 13: The shadows make you untargetable to divination spells while you are hidden..
  • Level 17: Your mastery over the shadows has grown so far that you can become one with them and be only be detected through an enemy noticing a abnormal movement in the shadows and succeeding DC 20 Wisdom (Preception) check.
  • Level 20: The shadows always help you, even while not hiding in the them, you are always untargetable to divination spells.

Additionaly you get acces to the darkness spell. The amount of time you can cast this spell per long rest ist determined the following way: your dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus.

Shadowsens

Shadow Rogues get Darkvision to 60 ft. if you dont have it already. Additionaly you can see in effects like natrual and magical Darkness or similar effects.

  • Level 17: The shadows help you see in your vicinity, your Blind Sight radius in shadows has now the radius of 30 ft. and includes other shadows in that radius that are not directly connected to that you are currently standing in. This includes shadows on other sides of walls, floors and ceilings.
  • Level 20: The radius of your blind sight in shadows is doubled to 60 ft and you are awar of any shadow in a radius of 240 ft., its postion, orientation and form.

Shadow Illusion

You can create illusions from shadows. The abilitys of those Illusions evolve with your level. This will give you acces to the following actions:

  • You create a illusion from a shadow that is no more than 60 ft. away from you. it can't be larger than the shadow it is created from and if they are them same size, the shadow vanishes (Shadow of a human has the medium size, for buildings and other things the DM decides). This will get the attetion of other beings in sight.
    • Depending on your level, the Shadow Illusions have different abilitys, here is a list:
      • Level 9: They are not able to fly, burrow or swimm.

      • Depending on your level, the Shadow Illusions have different abilitys, here is a list:
        • Level 9: They are not able to fly, burrow or swimm.

Your illusions can leave the shadows but are dispelled under bright light like the daylight spell. If they are first witnested in battel, enemys are distracted and have disadvantage on perception checks to detect you and can’t take reactions. Shadow Illusions can be investigated with an Intelligence (Investigation) check against this DC =  8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier. As reference:
