Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Bloodragers gain their rage abilities through some form of magical interference within their bloodline. This source of rage eventually awakens into full spell casting abilities.

Bloodrage

Beginning at 3rd level the arcane magic in your blood surges with power. This innate magical energy fuels your spells. The Bloodrager table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your Bloodrager spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these Bloodrager spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

You know three 1st-level spells of your choice from the Sorcerer spell list. These count as Bloodrager spells for you, and two of them must be from the Abjuration, or Transmutation schools of magic.

The Spells Known column of the Bloodrager table shows when you learn more sorcerer spells of your choice. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and must always come from the Abjuration or Transmutation schools of magic. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic.

Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the sorcerer spells you know and replace it with another spell from the sorcerer spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots. The spells your replace must be from the Abjuration or Transmutation schools of magic unless you're replacing the spells from 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th levels.

Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your sorcerer spells, since the power of your magic relies on your ability to project your will into the world. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a sorcerer spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Through sheer force of will you have managed to harness the magical energy within you even while raging. You have the ability to cast spells and concentrate on spells even while raging as long as the spells you cast are ones granted by your Bloodrage ability, and have a cast time no longer than an action. Also your rage does not end early if you cast a spell before your turn ends, even if you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage.

Eschew Materials

The Bloodrager may cast spells gained from the bloodrage class ability without using verbal, somatic, or material components that have no cost, also you do not need a Spellcasting focus to cast Bloodrager spells you know. You must still use material components to cast spells that have a material component with a cost.

Bloodrager Bloodline

At 3rd level the blood within the Bloodrager surges with arcane magic gained from a particular source. Choose one of the following bloodlines. These bloodlines provide certain spells when you reach specific levels in the Bloodrager subclass. These spells are added to the list of Bloodrager spells that you know, but they do not count against the number of Bloodrager spells you know. Additionally you may cast each spell granted by your bloodline once per day without expending a spell slot.

Arcane Surge

At 6th level the rage of a Bloodrager invokes arcane energy to surge within them. Whenever the Bloodrager enters their Rage as a bonus action they may cast a Bloodrager spell as part of that same bonus action provided the spell has a casting time of an action or bonus action, and they may only target themself.

Unassailable mind

At 10th level the arcane magic within your blood shields your mind from interference. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws. If you already have proficiency, you instead gain proficiency in either Intelligence or Charisma saving throws (your choice).

Arcane Fury

At 14th level your arcane blood empowers your in a way that allows you to bring terrifying might down upon your enemies. Whenever you cast a Bloodrager spell as an action you may make one melee attack as part of that same action. Additionally you may use your reckless attack ability to empower your spells. Doing so grants you advantage on melee spell attacks and ranged spell attacks, as well as gives enemies disadvantage on saving throws made against your Bloodrager spells that you cast this turn.
