Base Class: Wizard
Zephyr Mages are spellcasters who have forged a deep connection with the elemental forces of the wind. They are often seen as enigmatic figures, their presence heralded by a gentle breeze or a sudden gust. These mages are not only masters of wind magic but also possess an innate understanding of the air currents and weather patterns. Their abilities allow them to move with unparalleled grace and speed, making them elusive and difficult to pin down in battle.
Zephyr’s Embrace
You can create a protective barrier of wind around yourself or an ally. This barrier grants a +2 bonus to AC and a chosen benefit below:
- Deflects projectiles.
- Grants the swiftness of the wind, granting the user an extra 15ft of movement.
- The barrier disperses gases and vapors, providing protection against inhaled poisons and similar effects.
You can use this feature three times per long rest. Each use lasts for 10 minutes or until you dismiss it as a bonus action.
Wind Reader
Your connection to the wind allows you to sense disturbances in the air and gather information from your surroundings. As an action, you can focus on the wind to gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks for 10 minutes.
After Level 9, additionally, you can sense when creatures move and objects within 30 feet during this time.
Usage: Proficiency bonus per long rest.
Gale Step
You can momentarily become one with the wind, allowing you to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. When you teleport, you leave behind a gust of wind that pushes all creatures within 5 feet of your starting location 10 feet away from you.
Can be used three times per long rest.
Tempest’s Fury
You can unleash a powerful storm in a 30-foot radius around you. This storm deals 4d6 lightning damage and 4d6 thunder damage to all creatures within the area. Creatures must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking half damage on a successful save. The storm also creates difficult terrain and heavily obscures the area for 1 minute.
You can use this once per long rest. At level 18, you can use it twice per long rest.
