Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The Amethyst Watchers are master scouts and spies, operating in areas tainted by the Blighted Scourge. They have learned how to navigate the blighted territories by developing unique sensory techniques, including the ability to bypass the shared senses and blindsight of the Blighted Ones. With their telepathic abilities and their ethereal crow companion, they are able to remain hidden while tracking and observing these dangerous entities without ever needing to touch their minds.

Amethyst Watchers

At 3rd level, when you choose this subclass, you gain the following abilities:

  • Blighted Sense: Your keen understanding of the Blighted Ones allows you to avoid detection by their Blindsight. You can move undetected within the area of Blighted Ones’ blindsight range as long as you do not take aggressive actions or cast a spell targeting them. This allows you to stealthily gather information or move past Blighted creatures.
  • Telepathic Link: You gain the ability to communicate telepathically with any creature within 60 feet that has an Intelligence score of 2 or higher. This connection allows you to relay information silently and coordinate actions without needing verbal communication. You cannot use this ability to read or manipulate minds, only to communicate thoughts and emotions.

Ethereal Crow

Starting at 3rd level, you can create a Crow of Amethyst Energy as a bonus action. This crow acts as your scout and guide in dangerous areas.

  • Shared Senses: While the crow is within 100 feet of you, you can see through its eyes and hear through its ears, gaining the benefits of darkvision and blindsight up to 30 feet. The crow has a flight speed of 60 feet and can navigate difficult or dangerous terrain with ease.
  • Energy Cost: You can summon the crow for a number of minutes equal to your proficiency bonus. After this duration, it dissipates, and you must complete a short or long rest before summoning it again.

Scouting Mastery

At 9th level, you become a master at infiltrating and observing dangerous areas. Your knowledge of the Blighted and their surroundings becomes second nature:

  • Blighted Camouflage: When you are in an area affected by the Blighted Scourge, you can use a bonus action to blend into the environment, becoming invisible to Blighted creatures within 30 feet of you unless you attack or cast a spell. This invisibility ends if you perform a hostile action or move more than 30 feet away from them.
  • Quick Evasion: Your speed increases by 10 feet. Additionally, if you are forced to make a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage, you can use your reaction to take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw.

Eyes of the Watcher

At 13th level, your senses are fully attuned to the dangerous Blighted zones:

  • Danger Sense: You can sense the presence of creatures, traps, and other dangers within 60 feet, even if they are hidden or behind walls. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
  • True Blighted Awareness: You can no longer be surprised by Blighted creatures. You automatically detect any Blighted creatures within 60 feet of you, and you gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Insight) checks when determining the intentions or movements of Blighted creatures.

Master of Stealth and Survival

At 17th level, you have perfected your abilities as an Amethyst Watcher:

  • Blighted Anticipation: You are always one step ahead of the Blighted. Once per short rest, when a Blighted creature within 60 feet of you attacks, you can impose disadvantage on the attack roll.
  • Caw of the Crow: As a reaction when a Blighted creature within 60 feet takes an aggressive action (such as attacking or casting a harmful spell), you can cause your ethereal crow to caw, emitting a sound that distracts and disrupts the creature. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or have its action delayed until the start of its next turn. Once you use this ability, you must complete a short or long rest to use it again.
