Base Class: Rogue
Fueled by reflex and instinct, Deadeyes wield firearms with deadly efficiency and accuracy. The last thing a Deadeye's enemy knows is a bullet between the eyes.
Armed and Dangerous
You gain proficiency with firearms, allowing you to add your proficiency bonus to attacks made with firearms.
Eye for Trouble
You have a knack for noticing things: the glint of a blade being unsheathed, a speck of blood on someone's collar, a nearly imperceivable tripwire, to name a few. You gain proficiency in the Perception skill if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses this proficiency.
One in the Chamber
You honed your reflexes and cunning into a fine needle, allowing you to push yourself and your firearms in ways that astound and bewilder. These reflexes are represented by Instinct, a resource that is meant to be used and replenished often.
Tricks. Many tricks enhance an attack in some way. You can only use one trick per attack. You learn the options detailed under “Tricks” below
Instinct. You gain one Instinct Point and can spend it to perform a Trick. You regain the expended instinct point each time you kill an enemy with a firearm or by rolling a 6 on a Sneak Attack die when calculating Sneak Attack damage. You also regain your expended instinct point after a short or long rest
Saving Throws. Some of your trick shots require your targets to make a saving throw to resist the trick’s effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:
Trick save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier
Tricks
Tricks are presented in alphabetical order.
Find the Mark
You can spend Instinct to grant yourself advantage on a firearm attack.
Itchy Trigger Finger
You can spend Instinct to make a Firearm attack as a Bonus Action.
Ricochet
You can shoot at a target you do not have direct line of sight on. When making an attack, you can spend Instinct to bounce your bullet off different surfaces in the area, changing the trajectory. The target’s cover is calculated based on the new trajectory.
Special Delivery
When you successfully damage a target, you can spend Instinct to shoot an object out of their possession. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or drop one held object of your choice, with the object pushed 10 feet away from you.
Two Birds, One Stone
You can spend Instinct in an attempt to shoot through your enemies. When you hit a target, you can make a follow-up attack to an enemy within 10 feet of them. The follow-up attack is made at disadvantage, dealing normal damage on a hit. All targets must be within your firearm’s normal range.
Wear 'em Down
When you miss a creature with an attack, you can spend Instinct to temporarily weaken their armor. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, you reduce their armor class by 2 until the end of their next turn.
Parlor Parley
Your quick reflexes and ability to assess a situation make you hard to outgun, but sometimes you’d rather settle things without wasting bullets. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative roll equal to your wisdom modifier.
Additionally, you may use your firearm to give yourself advantage when making the Influence action. You may draw or stow your firearm as part of this action.
Read the Room
Your preternatural senses can spot things others cannot. As an action, you momentarily grant yourself Blindsight with a range of 30 feet for a minute. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Stop It Cold
Your accuracy knows no bounds, allowing you to impossibly shoot projectiles out of the air.
As a reaction, you can spend Instinct to shoot an enemy’s ranged attack or ranged spell out of the air within your firearm's range. Make a contested attack roll, contested by either the triggering Attack Roll or Saving Throw, if applicable. On a success, the enemy’s attack fails, wasting their action, bonus action, or reaction. If the spell was cast with a spell slot, the slot is expended.
