Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have forged a pact with the enigmatic entity that oversees the very fabric of reality, the Dungeon Master. This supreme being exists beyond the boundaries of mortal comprehension, wielding unrivaled power over the multiverse. By entering into this pact, you have gained access to the arcane knowledge and secrets woven into the threads of existence itself.

Your interactions with the Dungeon Master are veiled in mystery, as its motivations and intentions are as diverse as the myriad worlds it oversees. Perhaps you seek a greater understanding of the universe, or maybe you aim to bend the rules of reality to your will. Whatever your reasons, the Dungeon Master's favor grants you glimpses into the future, the ability to manipulate chance, and insights into the very essence of the game world.

Portent

Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to call upon the power of the Dungeon Master to aid you in your adventures. Once per long rest, when you finish a long rest, roll two d20s and record the numbers rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these foretelling rolls. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can replace a roll in this way only once per turn. Each foretelling roll can be used only once. When you finish a long rest, you lose any unused foretelling rolls.

Dungeon Master’s Favor

Starting at 6th level, you gain a unique understanding of the game world. You can use an action to peer into the fabric of reality, gaining insight into the immediate future. Roll a d20:

d20

  Feature

1-10

you gain advantage on your next ability check, saving throw, or attack roll.

11-18

you can cast one 3rd-level or lower spell from your Pact Magic spell slots without expending a spell slot.

19-20

you foresee a critical moment. You can choose to automatically succeed on your next ability check, saving throw, or attack roll.

Dungeon Master's Insight

At 10th level, you gain the ability to peer into the game world in a more detailed manner. Once per day, you can take an action to gain insights into the statistics and abilities of a non-player character (NPC) or creature you can see. You learn their current hit points, Armor Class, resistances, vulnerabilities, and any special abilities or immunities they possess.

Limited Wish

You entreat your patron to grant you a small wish. As an action, you can express your desire to your Dungeon Master, requesting the effect of one spell that is 6th level or lower and has a casting time of 1 action. The spell can be from any class’s spell list, and you don’t need to meet the requirements in that spell, including costly components; the spell simply takes effect as part of this action.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish 1d4 long rests.
