Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

The Primordial Ooze is a mysterious and ancient force, a sentient mass of ever-shifting slime that predates the gods themselves. This entity embodies chaos, transformation, and the raw, unrefined essence of life. Warlocks who form pacts with the Primordial Ooze become agents of its will, wielding powers of fluidity, adaptability, and corruption. Their magic often manifests as strange, oozing substances, with the ability to dissolve, reshape, or consume. As a servant of this amorphous being, you channel its primal energy, blurring the lines between creation and destruction, form and formlessness.

Gift of the Ooze

When choosing this archetype at 3rd level, the Primordial Ooze grants you the gift of caustic slime. Your body becomes partially fluid, granting you the following benefits:

  • Amorphous Reach. Your limbs can stretch and lash out like pseudopods. Your reach is increased by 5ft.
  • Corrosive Mana. When you cast a Warlock spell that deals damage, you can change its damage type Acid.

Amorphous Form

As a Bonus Action, you can dissolve your physical form into a semi-translucent, gelatinous state. For one minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • Caustic Harmony. Your AC becomes 10 + Constitution modifier + Charisma modifier, or stays the same, whichever is higher. Additionally, all attacks deal an extra 1d4 Acid damage.
  • Slime Grip. Once per turn, when you deal acid damage within a 15ft radius centered on you, you can attempt to grapple a target within the radius. You can only have one target grappled this way at a time.
  • Spells. You can cast spells normally while in this form.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Blessing of Slime

Secrets of the Ooze. The Primordial Ooze has refined the chemical makeup of your biology and your magic.

  • Ooze Defense. You have resistance to Acid damage.
  • Vibrational Awareness. You gain blindsight out to a range of 30 feet.

Improved Amorphous Form. While in your Amorphous Form, you gain the following benefits.

  • Liquid Movement. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and you can move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside-down along ceilings leaving your hands free. You can also move through a space as narrow as one inch wide without squeezing.
  • Jelly Absorption. You gain resistance to Slashing damage.

Master of Dissolution

Your transformation into an agent of the Ooze is complete. You gain the following benefits:

  • Caustic Absorption. After you take damage, you can roll 1d10 and add your Charisma modifier, gaining Temporary Hit Points equaling the total amount. Once you use this feature you cannot use it again until the start of your next turn.
  • Engulfing Mass. As an action, you can attempt to consume a creature you are grappling. The target must make a Strength saving throw against your Spell Save DC. On a failure, the creature is pulled into your space and becomes Restrained and Blinded as it is suspended within your gelatinous form. While engulfed, the creature takes 6d10 acid damage at the start of each of its turns. You can only engulf one creature at a time, and your movement speed is halved while doing so. While a target is engulfed, you regain the ability to grapple another target.
