Base Class: Rogue
While all scoundrels and rogues do their work from the shadows, there are those who learn to tap into the magical power of the shadowfell to manipulate the shadows to their will. This minor affinity to magic enhances their capability of going unnoticed and blinding their enemies senses.
Shadow Strike
Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you attack from the shadow. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.
Clinging Shadows
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you are able to hide in dim light or darkness even if you are only lightly obscured.
Shadow Techniques
Starting at 9th level, you are able to create your own darkness. You can cast darkness once per long rest, without providing material components in addition you also gain the minor illusion cantrip if you don’t already know it. You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision from your race, its range increases by 30 feet.
Silent Shade
At 13th level, your movements have become completely silent. While in dim light or darkness you make no audible noise. While in darkness, you are invisible to any creature that relies on darkvision to see you in that darkness. Foes with tremorsense have reduced range(half of the normal range) to detect you.
Shadow Master
Starting at 17th level, you become a master of striking from the shadows. When you attack and hit a creature that is surprised, it must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, double the damage of your attack against the creature.
