Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Unlike other arcane traditions that mold the weave through force, repetition, or scholarly refinement, you have been guided to perceive the weave's essence itself, to see the delicate threads of magic woven through all things. Your training has unlocked the art of Sight—a perception so precise it can dissect the patterns that underlie reality and glimpse the myriad connections within. Just as a master swordsman can exploit the finest opening for a fatal blow, you wield an unmatched sensitivity to magic’s flow, able to tug, twist, and weave the intangible into tangible power.

This path is not for the faint-hearted; to meddle with the primal threads of creation is to court chaos. One misstep could unravel carefully crafted spells, distort intended effects, or even open breaches in reality itself. But for those with an unbreakable focus and steady will, the potential is boundless. When you shape the chaos with flawless precision, your magic defies convention, altering the world with naught but a whisper and a touch. Only true mastery separates inspiration from disaster, and as a weaver of the arcane, you tread the razor’s edge between possibility and ruin.

Threadseeker's Insight

Beginning when you chose this school at 2nd level, you have honed your senses to become attuned to the threads of magic that surround you. You always have the spell Detect Magic prepared, and it does not count against the number of spells you can prepare. You can cast Detect Magic using this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, in addition to any spell slots you may have. You regain all expended uses of this feature after finishing a long rest.

At 6th level, your perceptions widen. When you cast Detect Magic, the range of the spell increases to 90ft, and you gain advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) checks made to identify spells or magical effects within the area you’ve detected. Additionally, you gain darkvision in both normal and magical darkness.

Arcane Weave

Starting at 2nd level, when you cast a spell, the Weave coalesces around you, holding its form until the end of your next turn. If the next spell you cast before this duration expires is the same spell, the spell’s power accelerates, gaining additional effects as detailed below. However, this heightened mastery comes at a cost; maintaining the Weave's form strains your mental fortitude. Treat this effect as if you are concentrating on an additional spell, requiring you to make concentration checks as necessary. Once this concentration ends, roll on the Wild Magic Surge table as the Weave snaps back to its original state.

Additionally, your spellcasting can unleash surges of untamed magic. Once per turn, after casting a spell of 1st level or higher using a spell slot, your DM may ask you to roll [roll]1d20[/roll]. If the result is equal to or lower than the spell’s level, roll [roll]1d100[/roll] on the Wild Magic Surge table to create a spontaneous magical effect, adding an unpredictable twist to your arcane prowess.

7 If this spell only has the ability to target one creature, you may target one additional creature making a new attack roll. If either attack rolls result in a 20 you may additional creature, and so on if another 20 is rolled
8 All damage/healing is doubled for this instance of the spells casting (spells that allow damage on subsequent turns ex. call lighting, witch bolt, ect do not gain this benefit after this turn unless another spell slot is used)
9 You no longer need to spend a spell slot to cast this spell. Once concentration ends you mist roll on the Wild Magic Surge table 3 times.

Resonant Mayhem

At 10th level, your connection to chaos magic allows you to embrace unpredictability. When a creature you can see (including yourself) rolls an attack roll or a saving throw, you can choose to make them reroll the die using the new result. However, if you do so, roll a [roll]1d20[/roll] on a roll of 1, roll on the Wild Magic Surge table. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.

Magical Embrace

Starting at 10th level, the wake of your harnessed magic creates a protective aura that entwines you with the Weave. While you maintain concentration on your Arcane Weave, you gain a +2 bonus to your AC and all saving throws, reflecting the Weave’s acceptance of your mastery.

At 14th level, when you take damage, you can use your reaction to retaliate against the attacker. They take force damage equal to your proficiency bonus. Your deepening connection to the silken threads of magic perceives threats to you as threats to the flow of the Weave itself, granting you a measure of protection in response to harm.

Knitted Chaos

While you are concentrating on your Arcane Weave feature, you can extend your protective magic to your allies. As an action, you may choose up to half your wizard level (rounded down) of creatures within 90 feet of you. Those chosen allies gain the benefits of your Magical Embrace feature, bolstering their defenses and enhancing their resilience.

If you lose concentration on your Arcane Weave, each affected creature must roll on the Wild Magic Surge table the same as you would normally. This includes instances where you reach the maximum chain of your Weave, causing everyone affected to roll three times, embracing the unpredictable nature of magic.

As you weave your protective energies around your allies, you become a beacon of arcane power, but the volatility of chaos magic ensures that the safety you provide is always accompanied by the potential for unforeseen consequences.
