Druid
Base Class: Druid

The Circle of Invasion comprises otherworldly mages and those corrupted by planar magics who now seek to bring their plane’s influence to new worlds. They may be servants of demons, infested by aboleths, or just believe that “Survival of the Fittest” applies across all realities. When you select this subclass, choose to attune to one of the following: The Hellish Pit, The Bog of Nowhere, The Far Realms, or Clockwork Nirvana

Circle of Invasion Spells

Whenever you gain this subclass, choose one plane of existence: The Hellish Pit, The Bog of Nowhere, The Far Realms, or Clockwork Nirvana. Consult the table below that corresponds to the chosen type; you have the spells listed for your Druid level and lower prepared.

Otherworldly Symbiote

When you use your Wild Shape to summon a familiar, you choose one of the normal forms for your familiar or one of the following special forms: Imp, Pseudodragon, Quasit, Skeleton, Slaad Tadpole, Sphinx of Wonder, Sprite, or Animated Armor.

Additionally, when you take the Attack action, you can forgo one of your own attacks to allow your familiar to make one attack of its own with its Reaction.

Otherworldly Attunement

Once per Long Rest, you can cast one of the level 1+ spells from your chosen world without expending a spell slot or paying its costly component.

In addition, when you cast a spell that begins with Summon, you can ignore its costly components by temporarily banishing your familiar instead. It cannot be resummoned while the summoned creature exists.

Baleful Banishment

You learn the Banishment and Banishing Smite spells, and when you cast them, instead of banishing the enemy to a harmless demiplane or their home plane, they are instead banished to an unsafe portion of your attuned plane. At the beginning of each of their turns while banished, they take 1d6 damage of a type associated with your attuned plane. The Hellish Pit causes Fire damage, The Bog of Nowhere causes Necrotic damage, the Far Realms cases Psychic damage, and Clockwork Nirvana deals force damage.

Emissary of Invasion

When you are reduced to 0 HP or killed, you immediately case a Summon spell from your expanded spell list at 9th level. The spell loses the concentration trait and requires no components. The summoned creature protects you or your body at all costs.

Your creature type ceases to be Humanoid. It instead changes to match your attuned plane. Those attuned to the Pit of Hell become Fiends, those attuned to the Bog of Nowhere become Undead, those attuned to the Far Realms become Aberrations, and those attuned to Celestial Nirvana become Constructs.
