#### Tenets of the Historian
The tenets of the Oath of the Historian are simple yet unwavering. These paladins may be true neutral, but they have a strict code of conduct regarding truth and history.
- **Preserve the Past**: All events, no matter how insignificant they may seem, are a part of the grand tapestry of history and must be remembered.
- **No Lies, Only Truth**: While others may lie or distort facts, you must not. You are a beacon of truth, recording history as it is without embellishment or deception.
- **Bear Witness**: Your purpose is to observe and record, even when doing so is difficult. You do not turn away from the harsh realities of life, nor do you sugarcoat them.
- **Knowledge Above All**: Knowledge is the highest pursuit. To lose history is to doom the future. Protect libraries, scrolls, and tomes, as they are the vessels of wisdom.
#### Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

#### Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options:
- **Unveiling Truth**: As an action, you can present your holy symbol and use your Channel Divinity to force all creatures within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is compelled to tell the truth for 1 minute, as if affected by the *Zone of Truth* spell. They are not aware of the compulsion.
- **Historical Revelation**: You can use your Channel Divinity to recall lost or obscure knowledge about a location, object, or person. As an action, you gain a brief vision or piece of information related to your query, as though you had cast *Legend Lore* without using a spell slot.
#### Aura of Clarity
Starting at 7th level, you emanate an aura of truth and insight. While you are conscious, creatures within 10 feet of you cannot benefit from being invisible, and illusions within this area appear slightly distorted. Additionally, creatures within this aura gain a +2 bonus to saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
#### Eternal Witness
Beginning at 15th level, your devotion to history allows you to be an impartial observer, even in the face of adversity. You can choose to become immune to the charmed and frightened conditions for 1 minute. Additionally, during this time, your memory becomes perfect—you are able to recall every detail of anything you have ever seen, heard, or read, down to the smallest specifics. You must finish a long rest before using this ability again.
#### Chronicle of Ages
At 20th level, you become a living embodiment of history itself. As an action, you can enter a state of heightened awareness and temporal understanding for 1 minute. During this time, you gain the following benefits:
- You can see into the Ethereal Plane and perceive the presence of any object or creature hidden by illusion or invisibility.
- You have advantage on all Intelligence and Wisdom checks.
- You can cast *Legend Lore* without requiring material components or using a spell slot.
- You cannot lie or be deceived, and you gain immunity to charm effects for the duration.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
