Base Class: Bard
The College of Doughmancy infuses the art of baking with time magic, blending flavors and feelings to create extraordinary experiences. Practitioners of this unique bardic tradition harness the power of nostalgic flavors—each bite of a homemade treat evokes a specific moment in time, a cherished memory, or even a long-lost emotion. Imagine a warm chocolate chip cookie baked by a beloved grandmother transporting you to the comforting embrace of childhood or offering a fleeting sense of peace where none existed before. Bards of this college craft magic as sweet as it is profound, using their culinary creations to weave connections between people and moments. They believe that the act of sharing food is inherently magical and enhance it with their abilities to create treats imbued with the power of memory, healing, and joy. Every cookie, pie, or loaf of bread they bake is not just delicious—it’s a blessing wrapped in sugar and magic, spreading warmth and wonder to everyone who partakes.
Yeast of Protection
Magic Muffins
During a long rest, you can bake a batch of magical muffins. You create a number of muffins equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Each muffin can be eaten as a bonus action, providing the following benefits:
- Berry Muffin: Restores 1d6 hit points.
- Spicy Muffin: Adds 1d4 fire damage to the eater’s weapon attacks for 1 minute.
- Honey Muffin: Grants the eater advantage on their next ability check.
Dough Shield
You magically conjure a protective doughy barrier. As a reaction, when a creature within 30 feet is hit by an attack, you can expend a Bardic Inspiration die to summon a springy mass of dough that absorbs damage. Roll the die, and the result is subtracted from the damage dealt.
Confectionary Charm
Enchanting Aroma
The soothing scent of your baked goods creates an aura of calm. As an action, you can emit a magical aroma in a 30-foot radius for 1 minute. Creatures of your choice in the area must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or become charmed for the duration. Charmed creatures are filled with a sense of comfort and cannot attack or cast harmful spells while in the aura. They may attempt the save again if they take damage.
Grand Baker’s Banquet
Arcane Feast: You can conjure an enormous, magical banquet filled with enchanted pastries and desserts. You may use an action to create enough food for up to 12 creatures. Those who partake in the feast gain the following benefits for the next 24 hours:
- Restores any missing hit points and removes one level of exhaustion.
- Provides immunity to poison and disease.
- Grants advantage on Wisdom saving throws.
