Base Class: Rogue
The Ravenous Stalker rogue thrives on relentless, close-range combat that focuses on overpowering enemies through grapples and tearing them apart. This subclass emphasizes precision and brutality, channeling their hunger into devastating attacks that leave little room for escape.
Level 3: Grasp of the Predator
Your skills in controlling enemies make escape nearly impossible. When you grapple a creature, it has disadvantage on checks to escape your grapple. Additionally, your attacks against grappled creatures deal an extra 1d4 damage.
Level 3: Hungry Maw
Prey on the Weak: When you successfully grapple a creature, your Sneak Attack damage against that creature increases by an additional 1d6.
Savage Rend: If you maintain a grapple on a creature at the start of your turn, you can use your bonus action to deal piercing or slashing damage equal to your Sneak Attack dice, as you tear into them with unnerving ferocity. This damage does not require advantage or an ally nearby.
Level 9: Crushing Embrace
Whenever you hit a grappled creature with an attack, you can choose to roll your Sneak Attack damage twice and take the higher result.
Additionally:
You gain the ability to grapple creatures up to one size larger than yourself. If you successfully pin a creature (restrain them through a contested grapple check), they take 2d6 bludgeoning damage at the start of their turns from your crushing grip.
Thrill of the Hunt
When you reduce a grappled creature to 0 hit points, you gain the following benefits until the end of your next turn:
Your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
You can make one additional attack as part of your Attack action.
Your melee attacks against grappled creatures score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20.
Apex Maw
You can activate Apex Maw as a bonus action for 1 minute. During this time: You can maintain grapples on creatures up to two sizes larger than you. When you deal Sneak Attack damage to a grappled creature, it takes an additional 3d6 damage. Grappled creatures automatically fail Strength saving throws against your abilities. Once you use Apex Maw, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
