Base Class: Bard
College of the Ballad
The College of the Ballad is a bard subclass focused on the power of music and song to inspire, heal, and lead their allies in battle. These bards wield the power of epic ballads and hymns, boosting their team's strength and morale, while even being able to revive fallen comrades and manipulate time itself.
Ballad of Strength
With your ballads, you empower your allies. As an action, when you use Bardic Inspiration, you choose a target. That target gains a +1d6 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls as they draw inspiration from your performance. This bonus lasts for 1 minute.
Verses of Vitality
Your songs not only lift the spirits but also heal the body. As a Bonus Action, when you give Bardic Inspiration to a target, they gain temporary hit points equal to 5 times the amount of Bardic Inspiration. However, every turn, the bard must repeat their performance (sing, play an instrument, or any other act of musical or performative inspiration) as an action. If the bard fails to perform this action during a turn, the temporary hit points granted by the song are lost.
Song of Heroism
In the most critical moments of battle, your heroic performance rallies your allies. As an Action, you start a heroic ballad, and all allies who hear it gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls and +1d6 bonus damage on their attacks for one instance. This effect lasts only for that attack. This ability can be used once after a long rest.
The Ballad of Rebirth
Your performances can defy death itself. As a Reaction, when an ally drops to 0 hit points, you can use your performance to bring them back to life. The target is revived with 1 hit point. This ability can be used once after a long rest.
