Monk
Base Class: Monk

Warriors of Wrath harness the power of anger. Wielding such flaming fury, these Monks can topple armies and titans alike, as well as expending it in out of combat situtations.

Level 3: Embers of Retribution

As a reaction to taking damage, you may expend 2 focus points to make a melee weapon attack or unarmed strike against the attacker.

You deal an additional amount of fire damage equal to your wisdom modifier with this attack. You may preform this action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest..

You may make two attacks at Monk level 10 and three at Monk level 17.

Level 6: Flame Bursts

You learn how to propel yourself using your fire. As part of your movement, you may expend a Focus point, and move up to 20 feet in any direction once per turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Level 11: Release Fury

As an action, you may release a devastating burst of energy. You may also expend any number of Focus points while preforming this action.

Every creature within a 30 foot radius of you, plus 5 feet for each bonus Focus point expended must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take fire damage equal to a roll of all of your Monk hit dice. On a success, they take half that damage. This fire damage ignores resistance and treats immunity like resistance. Afterwards, you fall unconscious for 1 minute.

At 20th level, instead of falling unconscious immediately, you fall unconscious at the end of your next turn. During which, you deal an extra martial arts die of fire damage with your unarmed strikes.

Level 17: Avatar of Wrath

You learn how to release your fiery wrath in short bursts instead of excessive blasts. You gain the following benefits.

  • When you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike or a Melee Weapon Attack, you may expend 2 Focus Points and deal another martial arts die of fire damage.
  • You may instantly dash over a short distance equal to half of your walking speed (rounded up) by expending 2 Focus Points. You do not trigger attacks of opportunity nor are you affected by entering a magically affected area unless you end your turn there. You may do this once per turn.
