Bard
Base Class: Bard

A bard of the College of Fortune Telling always carries divination tools with them and will give a reading to anyone who asks... of course, if they're really reading your fortune or not is anyone's guess. Whether it's truly seeing into the future or just telling someone what they want to hear, fortune teller bards are adept at the art of intuiting information and performing a reading. Many fortune tellers use a deck of divination cards, but some use other tools such as crystal balls or star globes.

Draw

Starting at 3rd level, you learn to channel the power of the stars into your oracle deck and grant boons based on the card you draw.

At the beginning of each of your turns, you may roll 1d6 and add the corresponding card to your spread. You may have up to 3 cards in your spread at a time, and the cards in your spread lose their effect and return to your oracle deck at the end of a short or long rest. On your turn, you may use your action to apply the empowering effect of a card in your spread to yourself or a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see, at which point the card returns to your deck. A creature can only benefit from one card's effect at a time, and the effect of the boon lasts for a number of rounds equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).

D6 EFFECT

1

The Sword. Add 1d6 radiant damage to all damage rolled until the end of this card's effect.

2

The Staff. Reduce all damage received by 1d6 until the end of this card's effect.

3

The Lamp. Add 1d6 to all attack rolls made until the end of this card's effect.

4

The Crown. Add 1d6 to all saving throws made until the end of this card's effect.

5

The Maidens. At the beginning of each of your turns, restore 1d6 hit points until the end of this card's effect.

6

The Brothers. Restore up to 1d6 total spell levels' worth of spell slots. These spell slots must be used before the end of this card's effect or be lost.

Skillful Reader

At 6th level, your fortune reading has become vastly more accurate, to the point of being magical.

You learn the Guidance cantrip. Additionally, you learn the Augury and Divination spells, but you can only cast them as rituals.

Fortunate Foresight

Also at 6th level, you have learned how to use your divination at a moment's notice to avoid danger.

As a reaction, you may discard a card from your spread to gain a +2 bonus to your AC or a +2 bonus to dexterity saving throws until the end of your next turn.

Stacked Deck

At 14th level, fate favors you when you read a card.

Whenever you draw a card with the Draw feature, you may roll 2d6 and select which die result to use.

Royal Road

Also at 14th level, you've learned to bend fate to suit your needs.

Whenever you draw a card with the Draw feature, you can discard a card from your spread to empower the drawn card. When you do so, the empowered card must be used on the same turn it is drawn, and can't be added to your spread. Choose one of the following effects to apply to the newly drawn card:

Potency. Whenever you roll for the effect of this card, roll an additional d6.

Duration. Double the duration of the effect of this card.

Aura. All allies within 20 feet of you gain the effect of this card.
