Monk
Base Class: Monk

Your order is dedicated to speed. Taking vows that limit what they can wear and wield in return for the secrets of speed, monks of the Way of Speed are some of, if not the fastest warriors in existence. Armed with special Ki methods that enhance their speed and allow them to imbue momentum into attacks monks of the Way of Speed are extremely dangerous individuals.

Speed Ki

Starting when you take this subclass at 3rd level, your very Ki becomes steeped in the ideals of speed. The ideals of speed are trained into you, you may no longer wear armor of any type and cannot wield a shield or two handed weapon. Additionally, you have disadvantage when attacking with weapons that do not have the light property.

In return for your renouncement vows, your Ki has enhanced your speed. At 3rd, 6th, 11th, and 17th level you gain an additional 15ft. of movement speed. Your movement no longer provokes opportunity attacks. Finally, you may run on top of liquids at the cost of double movement speed.

Linear Momentum

At 6th level you've learned to use your momentum to your advantage. For every 10ft. of movement you make in a straight line, without changing directions or stopping, you can add 1d4 force damage to your next attack. This is increased to 1d6 at 18th level.

Additionally, you may spend a Ki point and a bonus action to coat yourself in Ki for the next minute. While coated in Ki you can break through walls that aren't made of or reinforced by metal. You may also move through squares occupied by medium or smaller creatures.

Speed of Action

Beginning at 11th level, your sheer speed has granted you the ability to act faster and more effectively than anybody else. You gain the ability to turn actions into bonus actions and vice versa at the cost of a Ki point. Additionally, you gain a second reaction.

Speed State

At 17th level, once per long rest you can enter the speed state. At the start of your turn you can choose to enter the speed state, this lets you take this turn and an additional 1d4 turns in a row while no other creature can react. Any damage you deal during this period is halved and you cannot affect any objects being worn or carried by someone other than yourself.

When you exit the speed state you gain a point of exhaustion.
