Base Class: Rogue
The Gambler is a daring risk-taker who bends fate to their will, using cunning, intuition, and a bit of luck to manipulate outcomes in and out of combat. With a knack for pushing the odds and thriving on chance, they turn every roll of the dice into an opportunity for greatness—or catastrophe.
Gambler's Edge
You’ve learned to push your luck when the stakes are high. You have a number of Gambit Dice, as shown in the table below. These dice are the specified die size for your level.

Before making an ability check with a skill or tool you are proficient in, you can expend one Gambit Die. Roll the Gambit Die and add the result to your d20 roll.
You may continuously reroll the Gambit Die, adding new results to the total, but if the total exceeds the die’s maximum value (e.g., 8 on a d8), the die grants no benefit.
You regain all expended Gambit Dice after a long rest. Additionally, you regain one die when you roll a 20 on a d20 roll for an attack with a melee weapon, or deal a killing blow with a melee weapon to a creature of significant threat (DM’s discretion).
Gambler’s High
Starting at 3rd level, As a bonus action, you can expend a Gambit Die to gain Temporary hitpoints equal to the number rolled plus your rogue level. While you have these temporary hitpoints you score critical hits on a roll of 18-20 on the d20 with melee weapons.
Stacking the Deck
Starting at 9th level, your mastery of odds and intuition lets you manipulate the flow of fate itself. You gain two new ways to use your Gambler's Dice:
Cheating Death: When you roll a death saving throw, you can expend a Gambler's Die and add the result to your roll. If the total equals or exceeds 20, you gain the benefits of rolling a natural 20 on the d20 and a number of temporary hit points equal to the number rolled on the gambit die plus your rogue level as if you used gamblers high.
Card Counter: As an action, you can expend a Gambler's Die to analyze the probabilities of a specific goal, event, or activity that may occur within the next 7 days. Describe the event or goal to your DM, who provides a response based on the most likely outcome. The answer may take the form of a cryptic phrase, a straightforward statement, or a probability-based insight. This ability reflects your keen intuition and knack for predicting the course of events rather than any magical or divine influence.
Loaded Dice
Starting at 13th level, When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can expend a Gambler's Die to force the target to make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier). On a failed save, the creature gains one of the following random conditions until the end of your next turn. Roll a d8 to determine the condition:
1. No Condition
2. Poisoned
3. Deafened
4. Prone
5. Blinded
6. Restrained
7. Stunned
8. Paralyzed
Master Gambler
You have become the ultimate risk-taker, bending the odds and fate itself to your will. Your mastery of chance enables you to influence outcomes with unparalleled precision.
When the stakes are highest, you can expend 3 Gambler's Dice to shift fortune in your favor:
- Critical Gambit: When you or a creature you can see within 60 feet scores a hit, you can use this ability to turn that hit into a critical hit, striking with devastating precision.
- Fated Success: When you or a creature you can see within 60 feet fails an ability check with a skill or tool, you can turn the failure into a success, showcasing your flawless intuition and ability to turn the tide.
Additionally, Your presence inspires awe and dread as you thrive on the razor’s edge of chance. You regain one expended Gambler's Die whenever you or a creature within 30 feet rolls a natural 20 or a natural 1 on any attack roll, or saving throw.
