Base Class: Rogue
Scavengers are rogues who excel at using resources effectively, using their environment to their advantage and adapting to all possible situations
Level 3: Resourceful
- Whenever you finish a long rest, you can produce a number of the following items equal to your rogue level. If you are proficient with a tool that could be used to produce one of these items and have that tool available, you can also add your proficiency bonus to the amount of these items. Items created by this feature vanish the next time you take a long rest. These items are: Acid (vial), Alchemist's Fire (flask), Bomb, Caltrops (bag of 20), Grenade, Smoke, Poison, Basic (vial). You can use items created by this feature as a bonus action, and the save DC of these items is instead 8 + your dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus. When a creature fails a saving throw against one of these items, you have advantage on your next attack against that creature made until the end of your next turn.
- You gain proficiency with improvised weapons, and they have the finesse property for you.
- You gain proficiency with three kinds of artisans tools. While holding one of these tools, you can cast the Mending and Prestidigitation Spells.
Level 9: Modify Armament
Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch a finesse or ranged weapon you are proficient with and upgrade it with one of your weapon modifications, turning it into a magic item. While wielding that weapon, you can use its modification, but other creatures can not. Which modification can be used depends on if the weapon is a melee or ranged weapon.
Melee:
- Returning Blade. When you make a ranged attack with this weapon using the thrown property, it returns to your hand after you make the attack. You also gain a +2 to thrown weapon attacks made with this weapon.
- Hidden Blade. You score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 with this weapon. As an action while wielding the weapon, you can retract the weapon to hide it.
- Shifting Blade. While wielding this weapon, you can take a bonus action to transform it into another type of finesse weapon. You can also use it in place of thieve's tools, tinkers tools or woodcarvers tools.
Ranged:
- Repeating Shot. Once per turn after you make an attack with this weapon, you can make another attack with this weapon immediately after that. You don't add your ability modifier to that attack's damage.
- Piercing shot. When you take the attack action on your turn, you can make a ranged attack against any number of creatures within a 30-foot line going out from you. If more than one of these attacks would qualify for your sneak attack, you choose which of the targets takes the extra damage.
- Grappling Shot. When you hit a creature or object with an attack with this weapon, you can immediately move up to 15 feet towards the target without using any of your movement or, if the target isn't a huge or larger creature or an object weighing more than 500 pounds, you can move it up to 15 feet towards you.
If you modify another weapon, any other weapons modified by you lose their modification.

When a creature enters a space within five feet of you during its turn, you can use your reaction to immediately move up to your speed without provoking opportunity attacks and make one weapon attack against that creature either before or after moving. As long as that attack isn't made at disadvantage, it can trigger your sneak attack. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your dexterity modifier and regain all expended uses on a long rest.
