Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

FOR SOME BARBARIANS, THEIR RAGE HAS A DARKER manifestation that consumes them, ultimately leading their fury down a path of murderous intent. As their fury grows, demonic entities begin to take notice, reveling in the carnage left in the barbarian’s wake before goading and exploiting their killing skill for personal gain.

Path of the Slasher Barbarians are often seen as elusive boogeymen with superhuman strength and an unreasoning hatred. Others see a typical horror character. All that’s missing is a terrifying mask and a group of clueless teenage victims.

Boogeyman

3rd-level Path of the Slasher feature

You patiently lurk in the shadows, biding your time. You gain Proficiency in Dexterity (Stealth).

In addition, you can add your Strength modifier (minimum of 1) to all Dexterity (Stealth) checks.

Killer Instinct

3rd-level Path of the Slasher feature

When you enter a rage, choose one creature within 60 feet that you can see to become your obsession. The creature remains your obsession until your rage ends, until the creature drops to 0 hit points or until you make a weapon attack against a creature that is not your obsession.

When you attack your obsession with a weapon attack, you deal double your rage bonus damage to the creature.

Unkillable Horror

6th-level Path of the Slasher feature

The evil growing within heals you after you suffer a grievous wound. While raging, when you take damage that reduces you to below half your hit point maximum, you can choose to regain hit points equal to your barbarian level + your constitution modifier.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Terror Radius

10th-level Path of the Slasher feature

When a creature within 10 feet of you takes damage from a weapon attack, as a reaction you can force the creature to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failure, the creature takes 1d12 psychic damage and is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Malevolent Power

14th-level Path of the Slasher feature

Creatures can’t seem to escape your murderous intent. As a bonus action, you can briefly surround yourself in hellish fire and teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see.

If you teleport within 5 feet of a creature, you can make a melee weapon attack against it as part of this bonus action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
