Base Class: Barbarian
All barbarians are brutal, it's their identity. They are unrelenting storms of power that get stronger the more reckless they become. Barbarians who follow the Path of Brutality learn just what it means to become so strong that they can break through any defense. The rapid strikes of a fighter lose to a well built wall, but brutality can extend to break all that it touches.
These barbarians are more reckless, easy to forget about their safety. They are given the tools to fight back against all threats, so the best of this path learn to save their brutality for when a strike needs it the least. The strikes that just need a little more power, those are when the enemy expects it the least.
Brutality
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you become brutal with how your strikes cut through to your foes. You gain a number of points equal to your barbarian level. You can spend these points when you miss an attack to potentially change the result, increasing the result by one for each point you spend.
You can only use these points while raging, and they refresh on a long rest.
Eviscerating Strikes
At 3rd level, your brutal nature sometimes allows you to turn glancing blows into critical strikes. When you hit with an attack, you can spend a number of Brutality Points equal to difference between the number you rolled on the die and 20. Doing so automatically makes the attack a critical hit
Critically Brutal
Starting at 6th level, you can roll one additional weapon damage die when determining the extra damage for a critical hit with a melee attack.
This feature stacks with the Brutal Critical feature granted later in this class.
Glorious Bloodshed
At 10th level, you can remind yourself how fun it is to be brutal and revel in the bloodshed around you. Once per long rest as a bonus action, you can regain one point of brutality for every creature at or below 0 hit points you can see within 60 feet.
Furious Opening
Beginning at 14th level, your brutality is not just consistent, it's inevitable. The first attack roll you make after going into a rage is automatically a critical hit, if the attack hits.
