Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Hoplites are fighters that focus more in defence and battle control than the offence. Their training is heavily focused around utilizing their shields to repel enemies' attacks as well as counter charging them.

Level 3: Offensive Defence

  • You learn to utilize your shield as a weapon. You gain weapon proficiency with it and it has the push mastery property which you can choose as one of your weapon properties.
  • Your shield attacks deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage. Your attack and damage rolls with your shield use STR modifier.

Level 3: Sturdy Feet

  • While on your feet, you have advantage against any topple saving throws.

Level 7: Charging Ram

  • Once per turn, if you move at least 15 feet in a straight line toward a target and you take the attack or dash action, you can forgo your attacks to make a single charging strike dealing 1 D4 bludgeoning damage on a hit, for every 10 feet you moved and push the target up to 10 feet away, if it is no more than 1 size larger than you. If the attack misses you end up 5 feet behind your target and you fall prone.

Level 10: Man Of Steel

  • Any Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage dealt to you by any attack is reduced by 1 D4.

Level 15: Expose Weakness

  • Once per turn, if an enemy makes a melee attack at you and misses, you can make a special counter attack. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your CON modifier (a minimum of 1), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Level 18: Living Wall

  • While you’re wearing a shield, you gain proficiency on DEX saving throws and you count as an area of half cover for you and one creature directly behind you in a straight line from the attacker.
