Base Class: Paladin
NOTE: Ended up having to make a second iteration due to some inconsistencies. My bad
Paladins who take the Oath of the Vanquisher are warriors of overwhelming force, excelling in cutting through hordes of foes with relentless strikes. They believe that true righteousness is found in the swift and decisive elimination of those who threaten peace and order. Their doctrine demands that they never hesitate in the face of battle, always pushing forward with unstoppable might.
Tenets of the Vanquisher
Paladins who swear this oath uphold the following tenets:
- Strike Without Hesitation. In battle, hesitation leads to defeat. Once a threat is identified, strike with precision and fury.
- Cleave Through Darkness. Evil often hides behind numbers, but a true warrior carves through their ranks without fear.
- Unrelenting Force. Never falter, never retreat—push forward until the last foe falls.
Level 3: Oath of Vanquisher Spells(3rd Level)
The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Devotion Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Paladin Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Thunderous Smite, Zephyr Strike |
| 5 | Arcane Vigor, Shining Smite |
| 9 | Haste, Spirit Shroud |
| 13 | Freedom of Movement, Staggering Smite |
| 17 | Steel Wind Strike,Destructive Wave |
Level 3: Vanquisher's Cleave(3rd Level)
When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can use your Channel Divinity to strike another creature within 5 feet of your original target. If the second attack hits, you deal additional radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
Overwhelming Presence(3rd Level)
As an action, you can unleash an aura of unrelenting force. Each hostile creature within 10 feet of you must make a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If they fail by 5 or more, they are also pushed 10 feet away from you.
Aura of the Vanquisher (7th Level)
You emanate an aura of battle-readiness that extends 10 feet from you. You and friendly creatures within the aura gain a bonus to melee attack damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
Level 7: Aura of the Vanquisher(7th Level)
You emanate an aura of battle-readiness that extends 10 feet from you. You and friendly creatures within the aura gain a bonus to melee attack damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
Level 15: Culling Strikes(15th Level)
Your attacks cut through groups of foes with ruthless efficiency:
- When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can target another creature within 5 feet of the original target. If the second target is hit, they take extra radiant damage equal to half the original damage dealt.
- Once per turn, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks and make a melee weapon attack against a creature within range.
Level 20: Vanquisher’s Wrath(20th Level)
As a bonus action, you can enter a state of relentless destruction for 1 minute, gaining the following benefits:
- Your melee attacks can target up to two creatures within 5 feet of each other.
- When you hit a creature, it takes an additional 2d8 radiant damage.
- Your speed increases by 10 feet, and you can move through hostile creatures’ spaces as if they were difficult terrain.
- If you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you regain 10 hit points + your charisma modifier(minimum of 1).
Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

Posted Feb 9, 2025Disclaimer and heads up to anyone who ends up playing with the subclass. I was having problems with licensing issues for some reason when I had nothing in any of the modifiers pages in all of subclass level up rewards. So make sure when you go to play with it you edit the required spells and remove any of the extra stuff you'd get from Oath of Devotion, I was using that to get a grip of how to make subclasses. I did my best to make it as easy to use as possible. Apologies
NOTE: To anyone who does not have the current 2024 player's handbook, Arcane Vigor and Spirit Shroud will be unavailable to you. Good alternatives would be Aid and Spirit Guardians, respectfully.
