Base Class: Barbarian
Whether as a result of arcane experiments, innate magic ability, or occasional study, your Barbarian has the power to call upon limited magic in the heat of battle. Consider how your character would approach spellcasting much differently than a traditional spellcaster. Does he even know how he uses these spells, or are they second nature to him? Does she deliberately cast when using these abilities, or is a product of some arcane burst whenever she flies into a rage?
Uplifting Anger
When you take this Path at 3rd level, your rage gains the ability to bolster your allies. When you enter a rage on your turn, you choose 3 allies within 30 feet of you which gain the affect of the spell Aid. This effect lasts until the end of your rage, whether you end your rage prematurely or not.
Inherent Spellcasting (I)
When you reach 6th level in this Path, you gain the ability to cast Shield as a reaction while raging. This is limited to one casting per rage, with the uses regenerating with the uses of Rage after a long rest.
Inherent Spellcasting (II)
When you reach 10th level in this Path, you learn to use your inherent magical properties to bend the Weave with pure rage. You can now choose to use Counterspell as a reaction once while raging instead of Shield. The restrictions on the uses of Shield continue to apply to the combined usage of these two spells.
If the use of Counterspell requires an ability check, your spellcasting modifier for the check is Constitution.
Arcane Burst
When you reach level 14 in this Path, your mastery of your magical rage allows you to focus an arcane rebuke on your enemies. While raging, you can use your reaction when an enemy hits you with an attack to unleash a burst of arcane energy. The attacker you use this feature on takes 4d10 force damage, and must succeed on a Strength Saving Throw or be Knocked Prone.
The DC for this attack is 8 + your proficiency modifier + your Constitution modifier.
After using this feature once, you must wait until the end of a Long Rest to use it again.
