Base Class: Sorcerer
Channel the power of the elements
Your magic is infused with the raw power of the elemental planes, allowing you to channel and manipulate energy like a conduit. Your connection to the elements allows you to absorb and redirect attacks, turning an enemy’s power against them.
Primordial Spells
3rd-level Primordial Sorcery feature
When you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the Primordial Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
Primordial Spells
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Absorb Elements, Chromatic Orb, Flaming Sphere, Gust of Wind |
| 5th | Protection from Energy, Call Lightning |
| 7th | Elemental Bane, Ice Storm |
| 9th | Conjure Elemental, Wall of Stone |
Elemental Absorption
3rd-level Primordial Sorcery feature
When you cast Absorb Elements, you can store the triggering damage for up to 1 minute—instead of until the end of your next turn or when you hit with a melee attack.
For this minute, you can add extra damage of the absorbed type equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) to one spell or weapon attack you make on each of your turns, and you have resistance to the absorbed damage type.
Additionally, when you cast a spell that deals acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage, you can change its damage type to one of the other listed types.
Energy Augmentation
6th-level Primordial Sorcery feature
While you have any energy stored with Elemental Absorption, you gain the following benefits:
- Acid. When you deal acid damage to a creature, their AC is reduced by 2 until the start of your next turn.
- Cold. When you deal cold damage to a creature, their movement speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
- Fire. When you deal fire damage to a creature, they take extra fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
- Lightning. When you deal lightning damage to a creature, they cannot take reactions until the end of their next turn.
- Thunder. When you deal thunder damage to a creature, they are pushed 15 feet away from you.
Each benefit can occur once per turn.
When you deal any of the aforementioned damage types, you can change your stored Elemental Absorption damage type to match it (no action required).
Primordial Durability
14th-level Primordial Sorcery feature
Absorb Elements grants immunity to the triggering damage type instead of resistance.
Elemental Form
18th-level Primordial Sorcery feature
You can temporarily embody the forces of the elemental planes. While your Innate Sorcery feature is active, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
- You are resistant to fire, cold, poison, acid, lightning, and thunder damage. Spells you cast that do any of those damage types ignore resistance.
