Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Above all things, Veida is a goddess of life. She lives in each breath you take, each cell of blood that pumps through your veins, each thought that races across your mind and each flex of a muscle. So too does she live in the supposed lifeless, the animated bones of skeletons, the glass-eyed stare of a zombie, the haunting moans of ghosts in the air. All that continues to act on falls under purview, and it is the duty of her and her followers to both rescue those poor unfortunate souls from true death, and to ensure that their stay among the living remains a gift eternal.

How did you even get here, truly

Level 3: Tainted Faith

The blessing of Veida manifests differently than others, connecting to far more eldritch powers as well as the divine. You gain proficiency in the Nature and Medicine skills, and you know one cantrip of your choice from the Warlock spell list. For you, this cantrip counts as a cleric cantrip. Whenever you gain a Cleric Level, you can replace this cantrip with another cantrip of your choice from the Warlock spell list.

Additionally, when you cast a cleric spell that restores Hit Points to a creature, you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Cleric level, Her protection in return for your aid.

Level 3: Unlife Domain Spells

Your connection to this divine domain ensures you always have certain spells ready. When you reach a Cleric level specified in the Unlife Domain Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Cleric Level

Prepared Spells

3

Cause Fear, Entangle, Spike Growth, Wither and Bloom

5

Life Transference, Summon Undead

7

Aura of Life, Blight

9

Danse Macabre, Negative Energy Flood

Level 3: Delay Death

You can temporarily stay the reaper’s hand, if only for a moment. As a Reaction when you or a creature within 30 feet of you drops to 0 Hit Points, you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to instead cause it to drop to 1 Hit Point instead, and prevent it from losing Hit Points until the end of the current turn. At the end of its next turn, the target drops to 0 Hit Points and is Dying, bypassing effects that would usually prevent this, such as the Death Ward spell.

Level 6: Bloodless Bond

Your connection to your once-dead companions grows even stronger. Whenever you create an Undead creature using a necromancy spell, it has additional benefits:

  • When created or when control is reasserted over it, and when you restore its Hit Points using a spell, it gains Temporary Hit Points equal to half your Cleric level.
  • The creature has Advantage on attack rolls against creatures within 5 feet of you or another Undead creature.
  • You can cast spells as though you were in its space, but you must use your own senses.

Level 17: Blessing of the Lich Mother

For your devotion to Her cause, Veida has granted you a number of boons, bringing you ever-closer to true unending life. You gain the following benefits:

  • Your creature type is Undead if it isn’t already, overriding whatever creature type you gain from other sources, and you are immune to any effects that turn or control Undead.
  • You do not age, and you don’t need to eat, sleep, drink, or breathe.
  • You gain resistance to Poison and Necrotic damage, and Advantage on saving throws against the Poisoned condition. You also gain Advantage on Death Saving Throws.
  • When you create or reassert control over an Undead creature using a necromancy spell, you may instead create or reassert control over twice as many. Once you do so, you cannot do this again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 6+ spell slot (no action required).
