Monk
Base Class: Monk

Seeing the destruction and hate in the world, monks of the Way of Light dedicate themselves to healing and aid. Much like their brethren amongst the Way of Shadow, they are often organized and coordinated by their monastery to maximize their abilities. While all monks of the Way of Light adhere to the extreme disciplines many of them are free to provide aid outside of the monastery, either for a fee our out of the goodness of their hearts.

While there are no specific deities that the Way of Light worships, it honours all that embody the values of restoration and assistance.

Helping Light

When you chose this tradition at the 3rd level, your intense dedication to helping others has granted you access to light magics. As an action you can spend ki points to cast a spell without the material components as follows: 1 ki point to cast healing word, 2 ki points to cast lesser restoration or warding bond, or 3 ki points to cast healing word. You also gain the guidance cantrip if you don't already know it.

Fists of Light

At 6th level, your kinship with the benevolent deities imbues your strikes with with holy light. Your unarmed strikes now cause radiant damage. You can also spend 1 ki point to increase your damage die by 1 level (for example, a d4 becomes a d6). You can increase the damage die of your unarmed strikes a number of times equal to your monk level between short rests.

Light of Hope

By the 11th level, your acts of kindness inspire your companions on a regular basis. Any creatures of your choosing within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.

Blessing of the Light

At 17th level, the deities have allowed you access to the highest level of restorative magic. Once between long rests, you can use an action to spend 10 ki points and cast mass heal. Additionally, you can stabilize an unconscious creature as a bonus of action a number of times equal to your monk level between short rests.
