Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Grim Assassins specialize in stalking their prey, waiting for the perfect moment to land a fatal blow. Whether against monstrous Grimm or wicked men, they believe in one unspoken truth: death should come swiftly and without warning to those who threaten the innocent. Those who underestimate a Grim Assassin rarely live to regret it.

Level 3: Assassinate

Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.

Level 9: Shadowstalker

  • While in dim light or darkness, you can use a bonus action to step into the shadows and teleport up to 30 feet to another space of dim light or darkness that you can see.
  • Additionally, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack from hiding or invisibility, you can force the target to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier). On a failed save, the target is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

Vengeful Shade

As an action, you can envelop yourself in shadow for 1 minute. While this effect is active:

  • You gain resistance to all damage except radiant and force.
  • You can pass through enemy spaces without provoking opportunity attacks.
  • Your weapon attacks that hit a creature in dim light or darkness deal an additional 2d8 necrotic damage.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Death Strike

Starting at 17th level, you become a master of instant death. When you attack and hit a creature that is surprised, it must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, double the damage of your attack against the creature.
