Base Class: Bard
Two strangers sit on pillows across from each other in darkened tent lit by several candles. One is a middle-aged human man with tanned skin and the clothing of a farmer, and the other is a petite woman wearing an elaborate, multicolored and patched robe with a hood over her face.
The bangles on the woman's wrists jingle as she waves her hands over a crystal orb on the table between them. To the man, the orb looks like a transparent ball; peering through, he see the fortune-teller, albeit upside down but very clearly. The woman, however, sees something very different. Through her eyes, a swirling purple mist fills the orb, taking the shape of things that were, things that are, and things that will come.
Not all Bards learn to play the strings of a lute. Some learn to play the strings of fate itself. Their craft is equal parts divination magic and intimate performance. These are the true fortune-tellers, oracles, and soothsayers who glean truths that transcend time from the tools of their trade and their heightened insight. With this knowledge, it is possible for them to even influence the outcome of events.
Divining Arts
Starting at 3rd Level, you have mastered the use of divining tools, such as Tarot cards, orbs, bone casting sets, and rune stones. You gain a set of diving tools of your choice with a value of 25gp, if you do not have one already. You may use this divining tool as a spellcasting focus for your Bard spells.
In addition, any Bard abilities that require you to perform, sing, or play an instrument, you may instead do so with your chosen divining tool.
Good Omens
Also at 3rd Level, your precise predictions allow your allies to know exactly when they'll have the upper hand. When you grant a creature a Bardic Inspiration die, they may immediately roll the die and record the number rolled. The recorded number counts as a Bardic Inspiration die, but the creature applies the recorded number to a roll that meets the conditions for Bardic Inspiration.
In addition, you know Augury and it counts as a Bard spell, but it does it does not count against the number of Bard spells you know. Casting Augury does not consume a spell slot. When you cast Augury more than once, you are not subject to the cumulative chance for a random reading.
Fateweaver
Starting at 6th Level, you've discovered that you and your allies share an interwoven destiny that you can subtly influence. After a short rest, allies who have regained 1d6 hit points from your Song of Rest feature may record the result from that roll as Destiny Points. Over the next 8 hours, they may expend any number of Destiny Points and add them to the result of a Bardic Inspiration die you have granted them. Unused Destiny Points are lost after 8 hours.
In addition, your Bardic Inspiration die now last for 1 hour instead of 10 minutes.
Oracle Unbound
Starting at 14th Level, visions of the immediate future flash in through your mind just moments before they happen, giving you a chance to circumvent fate. As a Reaction, you may grant a creature a Bardic Inspiration die after they have made a saving throw, ability check, or attack roll, but before the result has been determined.
In addition, when a creature rolls a 1 on a Bardic Inspiration die granted by you, they can reroll the die until they get a result other than a 1.
