Base Class: Rogue
Bandits, Tajirs, and Sultans alike all fear the Tarib Almatir. Emulating the speed and aggressive nature of a venomous snake with deadly precision, these Vipers are an ancient order of assassins that act and kill for the sake of keeping the desert within balance. They are patient stalkers who lie in wait for their enemies but attack suddenly and without remorse, using steel and venom as tools of unprejudiced slaughter. Though violent and bloodthirsty, they hone their skills for a dignified purpose.
Desert Ambusher
When you choose this archetype at level 3, you learn to use the loose sands of the desert as camouflage. While within a desert or sandy environment, you can take the Hide action without needing cover as you kick up loose sand to obscure your location.
Snake Bite
You are a master of stalking your prey and striking suddenly without warning. Whenever you move at least 15 feet toward a creature while hidden and then make a melee attack against it, your Sneak Attack deals an additional 1d6 damage.
Freedom of the Strand
At level 9, you tap into the hungering power of the Strand to become elusive in the grasps of your enemies. You can spend 10 feet of movement to automatically escape from non-magical restraints, such as manacles or a creature that has you grappled, and standing up from being prone no longer costs you your reaction.
Additionally, you gain access to the Thread Shackles spell, and your movement speed is increased by 10 feet. You can cast this spell twice per short rest.
Envenomed
Starting at 13th level, your attacks now carry with them a touch of poison. At the end of a long rest, you can make a small vial of poison from snake venom extract, which contains 10 drops, each of which deals 1d6 poison damage. Whenever you are about to make a weapon attack, you can coat your weapon with any number of these drops as a free action.
A creature that receives this poison damage must make a Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for the next 24 hours. You must finish a long rest before you can craft any further uses of this poison. Whenever you craft a new vial of this poison, any previous vials are destroyed.
Lashing Strand
At level 17, you've learned to harness the ambient Strand energy of the desert to release echoes of your cruelty. If you take the attack action on your turn, you can make up to two melee attacks against two adjacent creatures within range. Both of these attacks can benefit from your Sneak Attack.
