Shadowfang

The Shadowfang rogue taps into their lycanthropic curse to gain predatory instincts, enhanced senses, and brutal melee prowess. As the curse takes hold, you feel a deeper connection to it, almost like a second half to yourself.

Level 3: Lycanthropic form

 

• You gain heightened senses: advantage on Perception checks involving smell and hearing.

• Once per short rest, you can transform partially into your lycanthropic form to enhance your stealth. Gain advantage on Stealth checks and a climbing speed equal to your walking speed for 1 minute.

 

Level 9: Savage Strikes

 

• In your lycanthropic form, your unarmed strikes deal (1d8 +PB +Dex Modifier) piercing or slashing damage. You can add your Sneak Attack to these strikes.

• When you critically hit, you can frighten one creature (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier).

 

Level 13: Controlled Frenzy

 

• You gain temporary hit points equal to your rogue level when you enter your lycanthropic form.

• As an action, you can direct your rage at an enemy when in your lycanthropic form, when you make an unarmed strike against a target of you choosing, you can make 2 additional unarmed strikes against them. You can use this feature for free once per short rest, any use of this feature after that will force you to make a DC 10 wisdom saving throw, on a failure, the curse fully takes hold, and you go feral, making unarmed strikes against the closest creatures to you for 1d6 rounds.

 

Level 17: Apex Predator

 

• Your lycanthropic form becomes stronger. Gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage while in lycanthropic form, and advantage on attacks against frightened creatures.

• You can unleash a terrifying howl as an action. All creatures within 30 feet must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be frightened for 1 minute.
