Base Class: Wizard
You have been altered by the Faerzress, what remains of your magic is uncontrollable. How shall you pass forward.
Faerzress is the chaotic magic of the underdark, with roots to the Abyss and beyond. Faerzress can manifest in many ways, but to you, its altering your magic.
As an Altered, your magic manifests in erratic surges, warping reality in unpredictable ways. Spells may unleash bursts of chaotic energy, defy expectations, or twist into something entirely new. The Faerzress has made you a conduit for chaos, and with each spell cast, the line between power and catastrophe blurs.
Level 3: Unleash Wildness
As a bonus action, you can unleash the chaotic magic within you. For 1 minute, you gain the following:
- Advantage on attack rolls for spells
- Spell save DC increases by 1.
- Each time you cast a spell that uses a Wizard Spell Slot during this duration, roll a d20. On a roll of 5 or lower, you must roll on the Wild Magic Surge table.
You can use this feature once per long rest. If you have no uses of this feature left, you can expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher to regain one use.
Level 3: Chaotic Protection
Your connection to the chaotic energies of Faerzress grants you and those around you protection.
Whenever you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table, up to three creatures of your choice (can include yourself) within 30 feet gain temporary hit points equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1).({{modifier:int}})
Level 6: Wild Save
If you are faced with danger, you can use the chaotic energy surrounding you, altering the outcome of your fate.
When you fail a saving throw, you can reroll it with a bonus equal to your Intelligence modifier ({{modifier:int}}).You must use the new roll. When you use this feature, you must roll on the Wild Magic Surge table.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher to use it again.
Counter Chaos
Your mastery over the chaotic forces of Faerzress has grown, allowing you to disrupt the magic of others with unpredictable results.
You always have the Counterspell spell prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day.
When you successfully Counterspell, you can choose to roll on the Wild Magic Surge table. If the effect targets a creature, it must be the one you counterspelled, provided they are within range.
Spreading Chaos
You have learned to channel the chaotic essence of Faerzress into others, sowing chaos from within.
As a bonus action, you can impose a chaotic curse on a creature within 30 feet of you. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC {{savedc:int}}, or it becomes cursed. The next time the cursed creature casts a spell or uses a magical ability, it must roll twice on the Wild Magic Surge table, and you choose which effect takes place. The creature does not know it is cursed if it fails, and a creature that is immune to being Cursed automatically succeeds on its saving throw.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest unless you expend a 3rd spell slot to do so.
