Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Path of the Jurassic Barbarian is a rare and ancient path, followed only by those who are deeply connected to the primordial forces of the world. These barbarians draw power from the spirits of the dinosaurs and other massive, untamed creatures that once roamed the Earth, tapping into a deep reservoir of primal energy that predates modern civilization. When a barbarian chooses this path, they become conduits for the raw, unrelenting force of nature's earliest beasts, channeling their power to devastate enemies, endure punishing blows, and command the fear of those who dare to stand against them.

Dinosaur's Resilience

Your connection to the ancient creatures fortifies your body. While raging, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level at the start of each of your turns while raging.
  • When you take damage from a melee attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by an amount equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).

Jurassic Roar

As an action, you can release a primal roar that echoes through the battlefield. Each creature in a 60-foot cone must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failed save, creatures take 3d6 thunder damage and are knocked prone. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not knocked prone.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Primeval Dominance

Dinosaur's Fury: When you drop to 0 hit points and are not killed outright, you can use your reaction to immediately stand up with 1 hit point. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Ancient Roar: As an action, you can channel the terror of the dinosaurs for one minute. During this time, creatures that fail their saving throws against your Roar of the Beast or Jurassic Roar features are also paralyzed with fear until the end of their next turn. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
