Base Class: Fighter

A Squire of the Angels is a mortal chosen to serve the celestial hosts. Though not yet a full-fledged celestial themselves, these warriors wield radiant power, shield the innocent, and strike down evil with divine precision. Their oath is not sworn, but bestowed — a sacred charge granted by divine messengers.

Divine Armament

Starting at 3rd Level you gain the ability to do the following

  • Radiant Smite: Once per turn when you hit with a weapon attack, you can deal an extra 1d6 radiant damage. This increases to 2d6 at 10th level and 3d6 at 18th level.

  • Celestial Shielding: When you're hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus. You can use this a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1), and you regain all uses when you finish a long rest.

Level 7: Wings of the Watcher

 Starting at 7th Level you gain the ability to do the following

  • As a bonus action, you can summon spectral wings that grant you a flying speed equal to your walking speed until the end of your next turn.

  • You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. At 15th level, the flight lasts for 1 minute instead of 1 round.

 

Level 10: Judgment Strike

Starting at 10th Level you gain the ability to do the following

  • When a creature you can see deals damage to an ally within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction to mark them for divine judgment.

  • The next time you hit that creature with a weapon attack before the end of your next turn, it takes additional radiant damage equal to your Fighter level and has disadvantage on its next attack roll.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Level 15: Aura of the Dawn

 Starting at 15th Level you gain the ability to do the following

  • You gain a 10-foot aura. While conscious, you and friendly creatures in the aura gain resistance to necrotic damage and can't be frightened.

  • Additionally, enemies that start their turn within the aura take radiant damage equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1).

 

Level 18: Ascendant Squire

 Starting at 18th Level you gain the ability to do the following

  • You grow radiant, angelic wings permanently (no longer summoned), granting you a flying speed of 30 feet.

  • Your Radiant Smite now deals 3d6 extra radiant damage on hit (as above), and when you reduce a creature to 0 HP with a weapon attack, you can cause them to erupt in radiant light. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or take 3d6 radiant damage and be blinded until the end of their next turn.
