Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of the Circle of Pigments see the world as a living canvas, shaped by the ever-changing hues of nature. They believe that colors hold primal magic, each shade imbued with emotion, energy, and transformation. By channeling the essence of pigments found in flowers, minerals, and even the shifting sky, these druids weave reality like an artist with a brush, blending light and shadow to alter the world around them.

Many who follow this circle spend years studying the hidden meanings of colors, tracing their origins in the petals of enchanted blooms, the iridescence of a beetle’s shell, or the glimmer of dawn breaking over an untouched glade. Some paint elaborate murals infused with magic, while others learn to mix alchemical dyes capable of altering perception, mood, or even physical form.

To a Circle of Pigments druid, nature is more than something to be protected—it is an evolving masterpiece, forever in motion, waiting for their hand to guide its next stroke.

Level 2: Chromatic Form

Starting at 2nd level, you can channel the magic of pigments into your own body, transforming into a living embodiment of color. As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape to take on a Chromatic Form instead of turning into a beast.

While in your Chromatic Form, you retain your statistics, but your body shimmers with your chosen color. The form lasts for 10 minutes or until you use this feature again. While in this form, you can use your action to touch a creature and mark them with your infused pigment, applying an effect depending on your current color.

When you enter your Chromatic Form, choose one of the following colors:

  • Red (Fury & Chaos)
    • While in this form: Your melee weapon attacks deal an extra 1d4 fire damage.
    • Marked Ally: Their strikes become fierce. Their first melee attack each turn has advantage.
    • Marked Enemy: They become reckless. The first attack made against them each turn has advantage.
  • Yellow (Agility & Disarray)
    • While in this form: Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
    • Marked Ally: Their speed increases by 10 feet.
    • Marked Enemy: Their speed decreases by 10 feet.
  • Black (Shadows & Silence)
    • While in this form: You gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
    • Marked Ally: They gain advantage on their next Dexterity (Stealth) check.

You can mark creatures a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once) per Chromatic Form. You regain all expended uses when you finish a short rest.

Level 3: Brushstroke Infusion

At 3rd level, your pigments can leave lingering magical imprints on those you touch. As an action, you can paint a minor magical sigil on a willing creature or object within 5 feet, channeling a temporary boon.

A creature marked by your Brushstroke Infusion can choose to expend the mark to gain advantage on one ability check of your choice (you need to decide the ability check before marking a creature). The mark lasts for 10 minutes or until used.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Level 6: Enhanced Palette

Your understanding of pigments expands, allowing you to shift into new hues. You can now assume the following additional forms when using Chromatic Wild Shape:

  • Orange (Boldness & Recklessness)

    • While in this form: You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.

    • Marked Ally: They gain advantage on their next saving throw within 1 minute.

    • Marked Enemy: They have disadvantage on their next saving throw within 1 minute.

  • Green (Renewal & Growth)

    • While in this form: Whenever you receive magical healing, you regain extra hit points equal to half your druid level.

    • Marked Ally: Whenever they receive magical healing, they regain extra hit points equal to half the amount rolled.

Additionally, you can now change your Chromatic Form as an action, rather than requiring a new use of Wild Shape.

Level 10: Master of Pigments

Your pigments grow even more vibrant, fortifying both body and mind. You gain access to two new Chromatic Forms:

  • Blue (Defense & Fortitude)

    • While in this form: You gain a +1 bonus to AC.

    • Marked Ally: They gain a +2 bonus to AC for 1 minute.

  • Purple (Insight & Dread)

    • While in this form: You gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Insight) checks.

    • Marked Ally: They gain advantage on Wisdom ability checks for 1 minute.

    • Marked Enemy: They have disadvantage on Wisdom ability checks for 1 minute.

Additionally, your Chromatic Form now lasts for 1 hour instead of 10 minutes.

Level 14: Prismatic Form

At 14th level, you unlock the most powerful pigment—White, the Color of Purity and Transcendence. You can enter Prismatic Form by expending three uses of Wild Shape. This form lasts 1 minute and grants the following benefits:

  • Radiant Flow: At the start of your turn, you and each ally within 30 feet regain hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1).

  • Chroma Overload: You can mark up to two creatures per turn instead of one.

  • Light of Creation: When you mark an enemy, they must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = your spell save DC) or be blinded until the end of their next turn.

Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before using it again.
