Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of the Gomu Gomu No Mi have consumed the rare and powerful Devil Fruit of the same name. The consumption of this fruit grants them the ability to stretch, contort, and morph their bodies as if they were made of rubber. Through this transformation, they gain incredible flexibility, resilience, and power, making them formidable in both combat and movement.

Gomu Gomu no Mi

  • Your rubber-like body grants you resistance to bludgeoning damage and immunity to lightning damage.
  • You can stretch your arms and legs to grapple and make unarmed strikes against enemies from a distance. When you attempt to grapple or attack a creature using an unarmed strike, you can do so from up to 10 feet away.
  • You can move through spaces occupied by creatures (without provoking opportunity attacks), as your body stretches to accommodate tight spaces.
  • When you jump, you may use twice your Dexterity modifier (instead of Strength) to calculate the height and distance of your jumps.

Level 3: Aspects of Rubber

Gomu Gomu no Pistol: You can spend 1 ki point to stretch your arm up to 10 ft behind you adding 2 extra martial arts die to your next unarmed strike

Gomu Gomu no Gatling: (3 turn cooldown): You can expend 2 ki points to rapidly strike everyone in a reversed 15 ft cone ahead of you. you can make up to 2 unarmed strikes against each enemy in this area (increased to 3 unarmed strikes at level 10).

Level 3: Fury of Mother Nature

Anyone who eats a fruit cannot swim and will drown in waist high water after a number of rounds equal to its Constitution modifier. When drowning, a creature suffers 10 points of damage each round.

Level 6: Gear Second

At 6th level you have discovered the ability to use your rubber qualities to push the blood around your body faster increasing your physical prowess and granting the following abilities for 1 minute:

Haste: You gain the benefits of the Haste spell, doubling your movement speed and granting you an additional action on each of your turns.

Increased Damage: You add an extra martial art die to all unarmed strike damage rolls whilst under this effect.

Unstoppable Force: You gain advantage on Strength checks and saving throws.

After Gear Second ends, you gain 1 level of exhaustion. You can use Gear Second once per short or long rest.

Gear Third

You can use a bonus action to inflate one of your limbs, you can then:

use an action to unleash a giant attack with a 30ft reach. The attack deals 3 martial arts die + your proficiency bonus bludgeoning in a 15ft area. (using this whilst under the effects of gear 2 will change the damage type to force, this attack is also considered an unarmed strike).

or

use an action to shield a 20 ft area with your giant arm granting anyone behind it full cover.

However, after this attack you are subjected to the Reduce spell for 1 minute, your damage is decreased by 1 size and you can't use gum-gum powers.

Level 17: Gear Fourth

You may spend 6 ki points to coat your body with your spiritual energy, hardening your skin before blowing air into your muscles increasing your size and the potential elastic power of your rubber body for 1 minute. You may do this in 2 ways each with its own benefits:

Bound-Man:
you increase your body size giving your punches more weight with the additional air making your body light and bouncy.
Increased Strength: Your Dexterity score becomes 22, if it's already higher add +2 Dex temporarily instead. Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 3 martial art's die bludgeoning damage.
Gomu Gomu no Kong Gun: Once per turn while Gear Fourth is active, you can use your action to perform Gomu Gomu no Kong Gun, a powerful punch that deals 4 martial arts die + your proficiency bonus  bludgeoning damage. If the attack is single target the target must make a Strength saving throw or be pushed back 15 feet if you target an area with it you can deal this damage to a 15ft square however everyone in the area can make a dexterity saving throw to avoid the punch halving the damage. You also have the option to spend an additional 2 ki points to use Gomu Gomu no Over-Kong Gun: For this attack you blow even more air into one arm increasing your punch to Huge size and dealing 12 martial arts die + your proficiency bonus, however this reduces your remaining time in gear 4 by 45 seconds.
Enhanced Defense: Your AC increases by 2 while Gear Fourth is active and you can use the force from kicking your feet to fly.

Snake-Man:
you compress the air blown into your muscles giving you lightning fast punches and mobility.
God-like speed:  Whilst in this form you have advantage on all dexterity saving throws and succeeding them will reduce the damage to 0 not half (where applicable), in addition your move speed increases by 10.
I'm made of rubber: Any unarmed strike made in this form is made with advantage as your rubber-like properties allow your attacks to change direction mid flight.
Hydra: Once per turn you can fire A barrage of constantly Redirecting fists, make 10 unarmed strikes against one target within 15 ft. If an attack misses you may re-roll it once as your arms bounce and redirect themselves. At the end of your turn you can chose to continue or end this barrage, Ending the barrage will allow you to chose what you do next turn and use reactions as normal however you will not be able to use this attack again until your next long rest. Continuing the barrage will render you unable to use any reactions, give you 1 level of exhaustion and reduce your actions on your next turn by 1 however the person you are targeting must succeed on a dexterity saving throw or be pinned in place by your rapid barrage until the start of your next turn. At the start of your next turn you can end the barrage with no consequence however you will not be able to use it again until your next long rest.

After Gear Fourth ends, you gain 2 levels of exhaustion and cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

After using Gear Fourth, you cannot regain ki points through your standard ki regeneration methods (such as short rests) for 1d4 hours. This represents the immense strain your body goes through after using such a powerful transformation. However if your exhaustion is removed through other means (magic, potions, spells etc) you may regain ki points as normal.

(Neither of these can be used at the same time as gear second or gear third)
