Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

The Ode Ipalolo is a relentless, precise hunter. Honed by long nights in the wilderness and perilous encounters with mighty foes, they excel at slaying the quarry before them quickly, quietly, and regardless of any obstacle. Like a serpent coiled to strike, they exploit the slightest falter in their enemy's defenses. If you find yourself in the sights of a Ode Ipalolo Ranger, know they will not miss any opportunity to end this battle...and your life.

Level 3: Serpent's Chance

Your nerves of steel endure through chaos, and your trained eye never misses an opportunity. When a creature within 15ft of you rolls a critical fail you can use a reaction to immediately make a weapon or spell attack against an enemy in range.

If you have no reactions, you can expend a spell slot of level 1 or higher to use this feature.

Level 3: Undaunted Predator

When your quarry attempts to evade you, your focus clarifies your path. When rolling with Disadvantage against an enemy marked by your Hunters Mark, you can add your Dexterity modifier to spell attacks and your Wisdom modifier to weapon attacks, in addition to the usual modifiers.

Level 7: Guardian's Fang

Using a bonus action you focus on your quarry's movements and wait for them to be distracted. You can now take Opportunity Attacks against the enemy marked by your Hunter's Mark whenever they attack a creature besides yourself. Your attack lands before theirs, thus any effect from your attack affects the attack they are making.

Level 11: Tracker's Opportunity

You don't miss any chance to fell your quarry. When your Guardian's Fang feature is active you can now use ranged weapons or spells for Opportunity Attacks against the target of your Hunter's Mark. Opportunity Attacks for this creature now trigger when:

-The target's movement triggers an Opportunity Attack from an ally you can see

-The target attacks a creature other than yourself

Level 15: Prey's Downfall

If you cannot harm your quarry, your efforts will still not be in vain. If a weapon or spell attack has a secondary effect, an attack roll that fails to hit the enemy marked by your Hunter's Mark deals no damage, but still deals the secondary effect if the roll was within 3 of the target's AC

For example, you attack your marked enemy with a shortsword, which you have weapon mastery for, with an attack roll totaling 15. The enemy's AC is 18, so the enemy takes no damage. However, 15 is within 3 of 18, so the enemy still suffers the effect of the Vex property, and you gain advantage on your next attack against them.
