Warrior of the mind, loosely based on Odysseus in Epic: The Musical

Warrior of the Mind

At third level when you take this subclass, you gain proficiency in the Persuasion and Deception skills, a testament to your ability to lead others into battle. 

 

In addition, when combat begins, instead of rolling initiative, you may roll a DC 16 Deception check. If you succeed, your enemies are surprised for two turns.

Just a Man

At 7th level, you can use your Strength modifier to make ranged weapon attacks. In addition, you gain a +2 bonus against being charmed.

Descent to Monstrosity

At 10th level, you gain one additional point in your Strength or Constitution score for each of your allies who dies within 100 feet of you that you did not kill. This cannot allow either to exceed 20. In addition, you have advantage on Insight and Deception skill checks. 

 

Monstrous

Add 1 to your STR or CON score each time an ally dies within 100 ft of you that you did not kill

Strike of Loss

At 15th level, you gain the ability to tap into your rage from the pain of loss to deal 1d6 damage per ally you have lost on your journey for 2 minutes, or until incapacitated. In addition, you gain resistance to magical and nonmagical slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage. You can only use this ability once per long rest.

Pain of Loss

Add 1d6 damage to your attacks for each ally you have lost on your journey

My Mercy Has Long Since Drowned

At 18th level, when you fight without an ally within 30ft of you, you gain advantage on all attack rolls you make for one minute or until incapacitated, and if the enemy you are attacking has 100 hit points or less, your attacks instantly kill the target instead if you successfully hit. This lasts for one minute or until incapacitated. You can only do this once per long rest.

Merciless

If a creature you attack has 100 HP or less, if you have no allies within 30 ft of you, that creature dies instantly.
