Base Class: Druid
Druids of the Circle of Draconic Forms revel in the beauty and strength of dragon-kind. Their order contains within it as much diversity as dragons themselves. Some might dwell in cities, embracing a love for the small races like silver dragons. Others might be loyal and fierce warriors like blue dragons. Still yet others might find themselves consumed by the intricacies of
Varied as they are, local circles might find themselves with differing collective moralities, and thus at odds with one another in a regional conflict, or if a specific sect chooses to support a dragon that seeks their help, or fealty. No matter their convictions, goals, or qualms however, the blood of dragons fires these druids' hearts.
Initiative Wild Shape
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use Wild Shape at the start of combat, without spending an action or bonus action.
Draconic Forms
The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into more dangerous draconic forms. Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Wild Shape to transform into a beast or dragon with a challenge rating as high as 1 (you ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there.). Additionally, you may ignore the flying or swimming limitations when choosing a dragon form, but that form will be unable to take flight or swim until the level requirements of the Beast Shapes table are met.
Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a dragon with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 3, rounded down.
Draconic Familiar
Starting at level 3, you learn the find familiar spell and can cast it as a ritual. The spell doesn’t count against your number of spells known.
When you cast the spell, you can choose one of the normal forms for your familiar or one of the following special forms: metallic warbler, pseudodragon, or lantern dragonette.
Additionally, when you take the Attack action, you can forgo one of your own attacks to allow your familiar to make one attack with its reaction.
Primal Strike
Starting at 6th level, your attacks in wild shape count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Improved Draconic Forms
The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into more dangerous draconic forms. Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a dragon with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 3, rounded down.
Guardian Wyrmlings
At 10th level, you can expend two uses of Wild Shape at the same time to summon a number of spectral wyrmling dragons whose collective challenge rating equals 5 or less.
In combat, the wyrmlings can act independent of each other, but share your initiative. They will default to an action in their stat block or, if you use a bonus action on your turn to command them, some other action. If you are incapacitated, the wyrmlings will surround you, and attempt to provide you with cover. One wyrmling in an adjacent space while you are incapacitated provides you with half cover, two provides you with three-quarters cover, and three provides you with total cover. If you are hit with an attack while incapacitated, all wyrmlings will abandon your body to attack your attacker.
The wyrmlings are summoned for 1 hour, until they are reduced to 0 hit points, until you use this feature to summon them again, or until you die.
Draconic Perfection
By 14th level, you have learned to use draconic magic to improve the quality of your Wild Shapes. You can transform into a dragon with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 2, rounded down.
