Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Black Veil are vessels of the Dark Goddess Inanna's corrupted power. They draw strength from the shadows and the Black Tar that permeates the lands, allowing them to become living avatars of her sealed fury. The darkness fuels their rage, granting them terrifying abilities but at the cost of their humanity.

Tarborn Rage

- Tar Aura: A 10-foot radius of flickering darkness surrounds you. Hostile creatures in the aura have disadvantage on attack rolls unless they have blindsight or truesight.
- Blackened Strikes: Your melee weapon attacks deal an additional 1d6 necrotic damage in dim light or darkness.

Inanna's Gift

The darkness begins to alter your body, granting you supernatural abilities:
- Corrupted Resistance: Gain resistance to necrotic damage and psychic damage.
- Shadow Meld: As a bonus action, you can merge with the shadows (in dim light, darkness, or Black Tar regions), gaining partial invisibility (creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against you) until the end of your next turn.

Black Tar Surge

The Black Tar biome answers your call, erupting to empower you during battle:
- As an action, you can create a 15-foot radius of Black Tar centered on you that lasts for 1 minute. The tar is difficult terrain for all creatures except you, and any hostile creature that starts its turn in the tar must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + Caster Level + Caster Constitution modifier) or be restrained until the end of their next turn.
- While standing in the Black Tar, your movement speed increases by 10 feet and your melee attacks ignore resistance to necrotic damage.

Avatar of the Dark Veil

- Tar Form: While raging, you can take on a shadowy, tar-like appearance, and you are immune to necrotic damage.

- When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you regain hit points equal to your Barbarian level.

- Creatures restrained by your Black Tar must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + 1/2 Caster Level + Caster Constitution modifier) at the start of their turn or become frightened until the end of their turn.
