Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who follow this Path draw their fury from a bloodline burning within their souls. That beast emerges in the midst of the fury, physically transforming the barbarian. Unlike those who lose their minds in rage, these fighters channel an older, chaotic energy that stems from dark ages.
Demon-possessed
Part of your infernal lineage seeps into your being, revealing some of the power you hide. You can wield one-handed weapons, even if they have the two-handed property, and use the higher die for versatile weapons. While raging, you gain the following extra benefits:
Diabolical Strength: You are larger when determining your carry capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift, and you can make an additional attack as a bonus action each turn.
Diabolical Speed: Your speed increases by 10 feet, and your jumping ability triples.
Demon Resistance: You have resistance to fire and poison damage, and you regain hit points equal to your proficiency bonus at the start of your turn. If you take radiant damage, this attribute will not function at the start of your next turn.
JACKPOT!
You gain proficiency with firearms (if they exist in your world) and crossbows. You can use your Strength bonus to attack and damage rolls with these, and you also gain proficiency on Charisma (performance) rolls and a bonus equal to your barbarian level on those rolls.
Hell Touch
Your weapon attacks while raging ignore resistances to slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning damage. Additionally, if you have half your hit point maximum or fewer, your attacks that use Strength score a critical hit on rolls of 19 or 20. Additionally, when you score a critical hit, you can make a single extra attack; this attack must use your Strength.
Partial Transformation
Your resilience and power, which spring from dark places, grant you unparalleled resilience. You have advantage on death saves, and the mark of your lineage grows ever deeper. You gain the following benefits upon entering a rage:
Demon Wing: A shadowy wing grows from your back, and you gain a flying speed equal to half your walking speed.
Improved Diabolical Strength: Your melee attacks deal an additional 1d6 fire damage.
Improved Demonic Resistance: You can use your bonus action and cast the spell False Life equal to your Constitution modifier.
Devil Trigger
You have fully unleashed the demonic power that courses through your veins. In combat, a burning rage consumes you from within, transforming you into a devastating version of yourself. Starting at 14th level, you gain the following benefits:
Infernal Regeneration: Your regeneration no longer depends on being in a rage. At the start of each of your turns, if you have less than half your maximum hit points, you regain a number of hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1). This regeneration works even if you are not in a rage. In addition, if you lose a body part—such as a limb, eye, or organ—it regrows and functions normally after 3 days, provided you maintain at least 1 hit point during that time. No magic is required for this process.
Form of the Unleashed Demon: When you activate your rage, you enter your Unleashed Demon Form, gaining the following additional effects for its duration:
- Demon Wings: Two pairs of dark wings wreathed in flame emerge from your back. You gain a fly speed equal to twice your walking speed. If you were already able to fly, your speed is doubled.
- Power of the Nine Hells: Your skin becomes covered in hardened scales, and demonic energy flows through your muscles. You count as a creature three times your size when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. Additionally, you can add twice your Strength modifier to damage rolls with melee weapons that use Strength.
- Cursed Juggernaut: Your mind is a battlefield that no one can break. You are immune to the Frightened and Charmed conditions. Additionally, once per long rest, if you drop to 0 hit points or become incapacitated while raging, you can make a Constitution saving throw (DC 15). On a successful save, you return to 1 hit point or ignore the incapacitated condition, respectively, and continue raging as if nothing had happened.
