Bards of the College of Chaos embrace unpredictability as their art form. Their performances ripple with unstable magic, turning every spell or inspiration into a wild surge of unexpected effects. Whether channeling bursts of inspiration into teleportation, illusions, or sudden blasts of energy, these bards revel in bending the rules — and sometimes reality itself — to orchestrate chaos that inspires, confuses, and devastates in equal measure.

Chaotic Inspiration
Your Bardic Inspiration becomes unstable but thrilling. When a creature uses your Bardic Inspiration die, roll the same die again and consult the Chaos Surge Table.
Both effects apply:
- The Bardic Inspiration works as normal
- The Chaos Surge effect triggers immediately
If multiple creatures use your inspiration in one round, each triggers a surge. (Target refers to the character that received the Chaotic Inspiration)

Entropy Engine
You can tap into chaotic energy when casting spells.
Once per turn when you cast a Bard spell of 1st level or higher, roll your Bardic Inspiration die:
- On an even result: You regain the spell slot (if it was 2nd level or lower).
- On an odd result: You cannot cast that spell again until the end of your next turn.
Uses per long rest = your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).
Flux Feedback
Your magic destabilizes resistant minds.
When a creature succeeds on a saving throw against one of your Bard spells, you can use your reaction to force one of the following effects (your choice):
- It is pushed 10 feet in a direction of your choice
- It has disadvantage on its next saving throw
- Roll a d6. On a 1, it loses its action next turn
You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest.
Chaos Crescenso
You’ve become the maestro of madness.
- When a creature uses your Bardic Inspiration, roll two Chaos Dice and choose one effect.
- Once per long rest, you may manually trigger a Chaos Surge when you cast a Bard spell.
Optional: Replace this with a roll on your d100 Chaos Magic Surge Table for true bedlam. (It affects the creature who is using the bardic inspiration, unless stated otherwise)
